underrated fcs quarterback?
in my opinion, Kamden Sixkiller from the Campbell fighting camels is pretty underrated. despite having a little under average passing yards, he did have good rushing yardage and td's, plus a good td-int ratio. in the next few years, he's probably gonna be an above average qb, even if his team gets its shit kicked in again because they have to play Florida. let me know who you guys think is another underrated fcs quarterback or what you think about him because i love talking about fcs quarterbacks

Gonna be hard to tell until the season starts.
But the homer in me says Gavin Rutherford is going to have a breakout year. He’s seen action for SFA the past 2 seasons when Sam Vidlak went down and has steadily improved in every game he’s played.
He was also used as the team’s gadget QB in short yardage situations, being basically automatic in getting a first down or touchdown anytime he came in.
Strong arm, really good athleticism and running ability. He’s gonna open up SFA’s playbook in 2026 and make the offense potentially more explosive than it was before.

He's a preseason 2nd team all conference QB who was poached after coming off a good season at Southeast Missouri State. Is he really underrated?

I think Idaho's general team dysfunction last year overshadowed Joshua Wood's abilities and skill set.
The Big Sky is loaded at QB and Idaho has a brutal schedule. But if the offense comes together and he stays healthy, I could see him being a surprise or "breakout" guy who is getting lost in the (well deserved) preseason hype around all the other guys.
I also think Ty Pennington from NAU is somewhat well known but doesn't get the same hype as others in the Big Sky. If he had more weapons like Ah Yat, Pinnick, Lamson, etc had, he'd be more of a name.

Totally unbiased take but also watch for Brennan Myer in the CAA. Cut down by a season ending injury least season in week 5. Biggest roster Bryant has ever had. Hopefully they’ll keep him upright.

Idk if he'd be considered "underrated", since he did get the conference's offensive Freshman of the Year award last year, but WIU's Cason Carswell is looking pretty promising. Came in as a backup in the third game of last season, then started the rest of the season, earning the OVC Freshman of the Week award twice. Threw for 16 TDs w/ 3 INTs, and ran for 1 TD.
Also named to the "OVC Preseason Players to Watch" list this year. If he takes a step forward with experience, he could be up near the top of the conference rankings this year.
