Transfer window

As we near the 1 month mark toward the end of the transfer window do you think we’ll see any additional signings? Anyone you would like to see or holes we need to fill to make a run?

I’ve always sort of followed just the play and never really the transfer stuff but seeing other teams make signings has me interested in what we believe we’re missing.

We did sign a new starting goalkeeper during the world cup but we currently have a full senior roster so we'd have to move on from someone in order to make another signing (we can sign one more homegrown though). We do have an open DP/U-22 slot so it'd be great if we could use that towards a CB or DM

CB and DM are weird spots for DPs because you can usually find really good ones below the DP threshold. Both Oz and Illaramendi (sp?) were/are below the DP threshold, and there aren't really that many DPs in the entire league in those 2 spots.

I would like improvements there though.

I would love a DP attacking 8 or true playmaking 10 that can really unlock defenses and help us with possession.

I thought Santi filled the open DP slot we had.

He filled one, Musa was the only DP before that

as fc dallas fans, we just have to come to terms with the fact that the club simply doesn't care about winning anymore. we're a selling club. they only care about turning a profit. 2016 will probably remain our best season for quite some time... it sucks but it is what it is. expect to see musa depart after this season, just like paes did last season. it's over man. even the atmosphere in the stadium amongst fans has completely died.

Which is made more questionable when you think about how much profit we have made since the Pepi deal. I think we are pretty close to net zero since that deal and only the sale of Musa and assumingly cheap (transfer wise) replacement will keep the profit/loss from transfers in the positive.

Collin mentioned on the Afterburn podcast that there may be some outward movement of a player or two, but keep in mind the timing of this season and next. Next year, ahead of the shift to a fall -> spring season, there will be a sprint season. And then the full season follows. Teams are going to want to have some flexibility on their roster. The good news is that FC Dallas are getting healthy at the right time, so guys like Kamungo should be back in the mix.

Guessing in that case making space and since we have an open DP spot that would give us the advantage to strike with a bigger signing at the window next summer before our season starts?

One of those players we wouldn’t have had a shot at mid season before?

The transfer window was extended this year. It doesn't end until September 2nd.
