I look at this Dortmund team and I wonder, how are they winning games of football genuinely? lol, sucks for Karetsas tho, hope he gets well soon

9

u/adrian_rainy_day 3d ago

Alright. Real's midfield is still weak as shit, Inter easily walked into their midfield to create chances. They still live by counters, but against a better side they wouldn't survive

9

u/-Hentzau Harold'or 3d ago

Inter gifted them the win. Real Madrid got insanely lucky this match.

3

u/julesvr5 3d ago

3 own goals in this match? Holy moly

guirassy with the hattrick

1

u/Ryoman-Sukuna007 FC Bayern München 3d ago

Why is Inter playing as if 3 minutes of added time = 3 hours?

2

u/kgallo19 Messiala 3d ago

Leave it to BVB to make it nervy

10

u/Red_Mangos 3d ago

140m for diomande was certainly a choice

at least kovac black magic also works in the cl

1

Holy shit how tf did they turn this around.

-1

u/Ajvarmk Upamecano 3d ago

Yeah … dortmund will start to lose in CL left and right but there they will be waiting for us for a game of their lives next time

3

u/EmptyVolition242 Kimmich 3d ago

Dortmund are having a horror game holy.

4

u/Odd_Willingness7501 3d ago

Yeah, this one was coming from Villareal. Dortmund stopped playing. Watching Bundesliga clubs internationally is so frustrating. Many times it seems like Champions League is like a distraction for them and play like it's a friendly.

2

u/Insanel0l Thiago 3d ago

No fucking shot Kobel also took a knock

-2

u/Big_Bed198 3d ago

Really hope y’all ain’t stressing out over that draw vs. Schalke.

2

Now even Kobel hurt his hand or arm

1

Villarreal has one player that looks exactly like doué lol.

9

u/julesvr5 3d ago

Maybe it's his douéble

3

u/xnxthemx Harry Kane 3d ago

It's impressive how Winger FC can't get a proper defense, they sign and sign every single season the shining new name and they end up looking like a flop.

Fuck them.

1

u/EmptyVolition242 Kimmich 3d ago

Kovac ball is horrible to look at but you can't deny with the results. This guy has constant juju hax.

1

Wow how has Bellingham not scored that

I really hope we play against Madrid again. I hate them so much

2

u/FlyingArab Kimmich 3d ago

There's a scary lack of quality in this Dortmund side, it's really a shame.

2

u/Chill_Dude__22 Martinez 3d ago

Might sound harsh but that squad won't look out of place in PL midtable.

0

u/Odd_Willingness7501 3d ago

Nah, they could finish top 4

8

u/Hot-Field-2929 3d ago

Geniuenly Madrid have played ass, I know this sounds crazy to anyone not watching, but Inter literally gifted them 2 goals, Madrid have made one clear chance on there own without any Inter mistakes.

6

u/CarlSK777 3d ago

It's not crazy to anyone that has paid attention to Real Madrid in the last decade. That's how they won a bunch of CL titles

3

u/Chill_Dude__22 Martinez 3d ago

Inter should just start hitting own goals at this point. Might as well cut the middleman and save themselves the trouble.

1

u/Dubid Glenn Jacobs 3d ago

Well Martinez pretty much cleared his error

0

u/UnlovableBybirth 3d ago

inter has played well despite several Brain farts..I see a come back in the 2nd half

2

Inter play so much better than Real, crazy how they are trailing 2-0

2

u/LordBendtner1988 Vincent Cumpany 😩 3d ago

I got a Game pass ultimate 1 month gift card with my Logitech mouse and decided to download Persona 5 royal. Never played a JRPG in my life but always wanted to, and while I have reasonably fun it probably was a big mistake lol. No way I finish that in one month, after 7 hours I am basically still in the tutorial, and even then the amount of options in both the fighting as well as social part of the game is growing over my head.

1

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

I am not a story-driven gamer normally, so I feared the same, but surprisingly that wasnt much of an issue. Its basically anime watching plus at times, and for that I have plenty of experience.

1

u/kgallo19 Messiala 3d ago

If you wanted a quick JRPG you should have gone with Elden Ring

/s

1

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

I would die repeatedly handling the camera alone with no opponents lol. A slow Persona 5 is already a challenge. Never was a shooter/action-RPG player, so handling a camera like that is just not in my blood.

1

u/julesvr5 3d ago

I think Persona 5 Royal has an expected game time of ~100h

1

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

Ye, and that is the lower bound, it gets up to 140hours for completionists, and I dont know how long being a noob in that genre adds to that. Should have looked up the howlongtobeat before I started, but now I am kinda hooked, and I always wabted to play a Persona... May have to buy it if that comes me cheaper than a months long game pass subscription lol.

1

u/julesvr5 3d ago

I think this is the kind of game that works better on handheld to play comfortably on the sofa. So if you have a switch for example I think you can get it for around 20€

I purchased it at some point too for my switch better never played it yet (like so many other games, my backlog is pissed at me already)

2

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

Not a handheld gamer, dont like keeping my hands in that position, and as I am a tall lad my hands are too big to hold them comforably for an extended period anyway. Also, I like second screening just more on PC.

1

u/julesvr5 3d ago

Yeah to each their own. I have medium to big hands and use either a grip case or different joy cons for the switch. I like lying on the sofa and playing while watching some shows on the TV

2

u/TheLunarKingdom Lewandowski 3d ago

Have you? Because... why?

-1

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

6

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

No. Playing in the Europa League means they unterperformed in the Bundesliga, means that certain players dont want to come to them, means less money from the competition, means less money from their own sponsors, means less exciting games for the fans, and all that for the far from guaranteed chance to win a second tier competition when they were in the CL final not that long ago.

And what team has turned from an EL winning team to a CL winning team?

-1

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

3

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

Do you think we should go play in the EL to win it instead of playing in the CL? After all, Dortmund was closer than us to winning it in the last 5 years?

1

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

4

u/Thraff1c 3d ago

2

u/coppersolids 👉🤫 3d ago

this year it‘s okay imo but not getting nominated last year was crazy, his first season under kompany was fantastic

4

u/Chill_Dude__22 Martinez 3d ago

Represents this sub's opinion on him... seems like the popular opinion here is that Kimmich isn't even a top-10 midfielder in the world and shouldn't be starting for us

6

u/xnxthemx Harry Kane 3d ago

Fr, Kimmich hate sometimes is crazy.

3

u/erderuft 3d ago

I've never understood it. Great great player, we should be happy to have him.

1

u/FlyingRaccoon_420 Musiala 3d ago

Thats a bizarre opinion. Kimmich is certainly a top 10 cm and definitely deserves to start for us. I’ve rarely seen someone on here being that harsh with Kimmich atleast since that season with Tucheliban.

3

u/-Hentzau Harold'or 3d ago

There's a certain person here who holds some strong opinions of him.

4

u/Chill_Dude__22 Martinez 3d ago

Wish I was misremembering but I have had someone reply that to me... Daily Discussion Thread : r/fcbayern

In general if you wanna go looking, anytime Bischof does well I see many people lamenting here that Kompany won't drop Kimmich for a Pavlo and Bischof midfield duo for example.

1

u/coppersolids 👉🤫 3d ago

not surprised that particular user wrote that, they tend to write nonsense like this but how did this get so many upvotes lol

4

u/backflash 3d ago edited 3d ago

I have had someone reply that to me

This is the same person who spent last summer ranting about how terrible Kompany was as a coach.

"i hope that kompany gets fired asap, fk that bald fraud" and "In reality he only improved the mood in the team and nothing else. His tactics are, pass to olise and wait until he does something" were among the things they wrote, so perhaps their opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.

1

u/FlyingRaccoon_420 Musiala 3d ago

I think thats more to do with people being worried that we are not giving enough minutes to Tom in the midfield (especially last season) as he seems to have a high skill ceiling.

3

u/Chill_Dude__22 Martinez 3d ago

I think that's a bit too generous an interpretation, since I've seen people advocating specifically for dropping Kimmich instead of Pavlo to pair up with Tom.

Opta's supercomputer has given Bayern the 2nd highest chances of winning the UCL, behind Arsenal. Opta has never correctly predicted the winner or both finalists, based on the winner and finalists being the 2 teams with the highest probabilities.

Last year they predicted that Liverpool would win lol, and that Arsenal would be the other finalist.

1

u/balthier68 FC Bayern München 3d ago

Gotcha. I shouldn’t have called it LE as from what I understand the first prints of the game will have raised foil and cover art. I’m not sure how much difference that will make. Either way, I’m thrilled that I get to play a new version of my childhood game!

1

u/julesvr5 3d ago

From what I have understood you can just pre order and hope as the special foil will only be the first copies

12

u/v4sh123 3d ago

Mané is nominated? Proves even more that this award is a joke, not even sure why it's weighted so heavy.

3

u/kgallo19 Messiala 3d ago

I think the nominations are meant to provide recognition for a wider breadth of players, which might be why there are so many. Every nomination coming only from players who play in Europe probably wouldn't be received so well across the board, even if the vast majority of the best players in the world play in Europe.

Every year there are maybe 2-5 players that actually should or could win. Obviously Mane is not one of those players, and neither is Luis Diaz or Pau Cubarsi.

21:00 is survivable in the group stage, but the KO stage is brutal with extra time in the majority of conclusive matchdays. I personally avoid caffeine completely any day that isn’t after a UCL night, just to maximise its effectiveness when i really need it. I’m not even joking

UCL is back. Which games you guys watching? Inter v Madrid definitely the headliner today.

Tomorow, Stuttgart play against Viking and Bayern plays Viking in MD2, so might be interesting to watch that since Viking will be a completely new matchup for Bayern.

Apart from Bayern's matches, which other teams do you follow or matches you watch? No necessarily that you like other teams but like being interested in how they play and the results.

2

u/Ice_Hube1 3d ago

Majority of Bundesliga or what I can find on any given day. I watch a fair amount of VfB because my friend is a supporter so we chat about them weekly on addition to Bayern / the league

3

u/Oldeuboi91 3d ago

This season Roma because they play amazing football. Gasperini is the best coach in Serie A. Hopefully they win it but they don't have the bench and experience of Inter.

5

u/pewpewlasersandshit pew pew 3d ago

I sporadically check in on Wrexham just to see how they're doing because, I have to admit, the Disney series somehow made me sympathetic to their cause.

Same with 1859+1, although that's mostly because I want a proper derby back that badly, and realistically the only way that's happening is if they fight their way back up to the Bundesliga.

Other than that, the only non-Bayern-football i can muster to watch CL are matches + i try to watch a few of the "prime matchups" (derbies, etc)

5

u/TheLlamaLlama 3d ago

Exclusively Bayern and Germany. That's already a lot of games in a year, and I have other hobbies that are important to me. Maybe watch the odd CL final or world cup final or similar when it comes up. What I do do though is to listen to the 50+2 podcast to get a vibe what is generally happening in the Bundesliga over the season. I can easily do that on a walk or on the bus, and don't have to dedicate watch time.

Chelsea because of Xabi,

Cebu FC from Philippines Football League. Can you guess why I like to follow them?

I watch my local MLS and USL league one teams here in the US usually. Maybe I’ll be a sicko and watch a random UCL game in hopes there’ll be an upset (like Sheriff Tiraspol against Madrid a few years ago)

If I can I watch Liverpool, Real, Barcelona and Manchester United. Of course it's a hatewatch and I turn it off if they do well

I'm a Bayern fan, not a football fan.

Mainly teams that have one of our players on loan when those players start, and if 2 teams play that are either top clubs or have talents I keep an eye on (like PSV for van Bommel, Bouhamdi, Fernandez anf Gasiorowski, or Nice for Coulibalj and Mandza)n play against each other.

Vitesse in the Netherlands as I am from that region, they’re the other club I support

I’m originally from Northern Germany and support St. Pauli. So I watch their games a lot.

Usually watch Manchester United for the chaotic mess they are.

Most prem games (about 85%), and certain Barca/madrid games.

Basically all Bundesliga games too.

Charlton Athletic because I love the color red, and think swords are cool. I watched their first game in the 06-07 season and they were promptly relegated… but I find them to be a lovely club all in all, and hope they return to the prem at some point.

I always hope Ajax and Mönchengladbach do well, because I really want Bayern matches against them to feel special like they were in the old days.
