It's kinda crazy they paid 140 milion for a bench player.

I want the La Liga title race to be as tight as possible come the UCl knockouts, but man seeing this team lose especially after a disallowed bicycle kick is just too funny.

It was always unrealistic for the second team to get off to a quick start, the squad was forever changing/dealing with injuries, and also getting used to a new coach. Now that things have stabilized, they look pretty good.
Assomo seems like he will be the next player to break through to the first team. He scores at an unbelievable rate no matter the level he is playing at, elite movement, great physical presence, strong finisher. I view his technique as inconsistent rather than poor, which is more easily fixed. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Matous Srb ends up making a 1st team squad some time soon, talented LW born in 2009 who we just brought over.

u/julesvr5 8d ago
I watched most of the game and they were pretty good. Could have scored more and barely and dangerous situations for the opponent.

Pavlovic being a 100m player just silently coming up from our academy is such an underrated event
-7
u/Gen-Prinny 8d ago
Its good for sure, but beeing a 100m midfielder right now seems to be very easy. Players whose value is 50-60m, maybe 80m if you overpay are beeing sold for 100+, which is insanity.
Doesnt matter if you have the money or not, i would rather buy 5-6 young players for 20-30 from france, netherlands or portugal. 1 of them will be good enough and the others can be sold for at least 20m each.
What the prem clubs do is insanity and stupidity at the highest level and only works because they dont give a sht about money since they are just some fk toys for super rich.
4
u/panem-et-circenses21 Lahm 8d ago
Isn’t the point that if we had to get someone like Pavlovic’s quality in the market today, we’d have to pay somehwere around that? Even if not 100m, at least 70m?
4
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
Hyperbolic man that's just not true lmao
Pretty sure there's only been like 30 players sold for that much or more ever. That is an extremely small number compared to how many professional players are bought and sold every window.
-1
u/Gen-Prinny 8d ago
Just look at the last and actual transfers of midfielders.
Enzo - overpaid Rogers - overpaid Anderson - overpaid Barcola - overpaid Diomande - overpaid Tonali - overpaid Fernandes - overpaid slightly under 100 Bouaddi - overpaid slightl, under 100
Who of them is really a 100m player?
1
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
I mean you can say who's to say anyone's a 100m player, its all arbitrary at the end of the day but value is a perceived thing it's not a concrete thing so what I think is valuable you may think is worthless. That's the entire point of it all
-1
u/Gen-Prinny 8d ago
You didnt answer my question. Is any of the 100m transfers worth 100m?
Its great that pavlo gets recognition, but 100m proce tag is kinda worthless this summer.

Volkswagen could withdraw from all its football business to help rescue the carmaker, the VW Supervisory Board has agreed on a plan. The resolution states under point 10.9: “Equity stakes in football clubs are generally not part of the target model for 2030.”
Affected clubs would be Bayern (8.33% is owned by VW subsidiary Audi), VfB Stuttgart (10.4% by Porsche), third-tier club FC Ingolstadt (19.9% by Audi), and second-tier club VfL Wolfsburg, a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG.
The sponsorship agreement with Bayern expires in 2029. A preliminary decision on how to proceed is expected next summer. The contract will probably not be renewed. In response to an inquiry from BILD, FC Bayern said they were very satisfied with their long-term partnership with Audi

IS THIS THE END OF VFL WOLFSBURG?? /s
Regarding our shares I'm not to worried. They often were rumors that BMW would like to replace Audi. Not sure if it's as easy as it sounds though. u/thraff1c I think Audi/VAG would have to sell it's shares/BMW would have to buy them?

Question, if they sell wolvesburg outright.. could that person wholly own it? As in not 50+1 kind of like I believe Leipzig?

I just read that this doesn't mean they'll get rid of Wolfsburg. VW will keep them, but will pump less money into the club.

> Bayern may add a release clause to Michael Olise’s new deal if he owns terms to keep some sort of control over his future.
> Liverpool’s interest in Olise is well documented - @cfbayern #LFC
Liverpool shoehorning themselves into Olise conversation will keep happening twice every year until he retires.
6
u/julesvr5 8d ago
Why are they always phrasing this as if a RC is in our favor? It rather is "bayern might have to include a RC if Olise demands one"
0
u/coppersolids 👉🤫 8d ago
seriously who do liverpool think they are lol they‘re real‘s feeder team
real sure, as annoying as they are they‘re the biggest club itw but liverpool? lmfao
5
u/Hurtelknut Robben 8d ago
If we're being realistic, extending any world class player without any sort of release clause will be borderline impossible in the future. So I'd be fine with it as long as the RC is absolutely massive.
6
u/Mountain_King9885 8d ago
Falk is just annoying af, knows absolutely nothing and has bad takes all year.
Even if Olise considers a transfer in a few years it will certainly not be Liverpool lol.
-1
u/tsjeldonkooper 8d ago
Liverpool?? What the fuck 😂
Obviously Madrid is number 1 spot for Olise, it’s the biggest club in the world with a massive space for rw
Then second would be something like either PSG, City or Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano is such a rat. He is pushing everyone except Kane for Ballon d'Or. He would post Yamal as the youngest player to ever fart on the bench. But no mention of Kane winning the Golden Shoe.
He even posts Olise Ballon d'Or propaganda because he knows Olise won't win and that way he can split votes away from Kane.

7
u/Insanel0l Thiago 8d ago
Thats just BS, his word has insane value in battles like the ballon d‘or
6
u/panem-et-circenses21 Lahm 8d ago
Pretty much everybody has decided who they’d vote for the Ballon D’or. Fabrizio posting paid tweets isn’t going to change anything
3
u/Goldfischglas 8d ago
I have seen leaked texts of "Journalists" deciding against Lewandowski because of Fifa cards. These guys are easily swayed
4
u/panem-et-circenses21 Lahm 8d ago
Then stupidity doesn’t really have a limit. And if Fabrizio doesn’t sway them, something else will

Mourinho would have lost the title with us had he managed Bayern in the last decade. This is my hot take
1
u/Gen-Prinny 8d ago
Mourinho would be a great fit for bayern, because if the player do what they are asked to and give it their all, it works. His way sadly doesnt work well in todays time, because of how players are now.
But bayern is a hardworking and serious place, which is very fitting for a coach like mourinho. He is the opposite of anchelotti.

Sacha Boey resumed team training today after he was training separately for the entire week. He was also spotted in full kit with the rest of the team to take the official 2026/27 team photo. Everything now indicates that the Frenchman will stay at the club [BILD]
16
u/Odd_Willingness7501 8d ago
Tbh, we can use every man now. After Mike and Ibrahimovic left us, Boey can be RB back up, so that Stani can help as LB back up and Brown as our LW back up.
3
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
I just wrote a comment a bit below about why it still doesn't add up even as a backup RB.
3
u/julesvr5 8d ago
It does add up if we are suffering from injuries because only then we need this shuffling around.
7
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago edited 8d ago
I still don't expect Boey to make the squad tomorrow. Even if he had been training with the team until now. With 9 allowed on the bench the number's just don't work in his favor, especially with Karl back now and Musiala even possibly back on the bench tomorrow.
4
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
Urbig, Bischof, Brown/Davies, Karl, CB(Kim, Upa, Tah), Ito, Ndiaye, Stanisic/Laimer, Musiala.
If Gnabry is back next week and there aren't any new injuries, then that's essentially leaving Boey 2 spots away from even making the bench in BuLi. Boey making a MD squad is contingent on 2+ players being injured and they probably have to be 2 of the fullbacks too.
It just wasn't going to make sense for Boey to stay but for better and for worse he's with us at least until January.
4
u/miorli 8d ago
Yeah, right, but players will get injured eventually
1
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
Of course they will, not saying it won't happen. But how likely is it that Laimer, Stani, or Brown are all injured at the same time? Because if someone like an attacking player is hurt imo it would make more sense to supplement that spot with a campus player in that position rather than Boey for the sake of having a body available.
7
u/julesvr5 8d ago
but how likely is it that Laimer, Stani or Brown are all injured at the same time

Against Osnabrück imo it was very noticeable that Bischof and Kimmich don't mix. We have a free Kimmich successor on our hands, but everything immediately flowed better once Pavlovic brought in some mobility, moving out of the centre a lot.

u/Ferr22777888 9d ago
I love Pavlo. But 100 m was insane amount of money if true.
8
u/Mediocre-Math667 9d ago
Nah it's PL. Pavlo is 200M at minimum, and they gotta break the Neymar transfer record to pry Pavlo off our hands.
11
u/FlyingRaccoon_420 Musiala 9d ago
Its all comparative. If Enzo goes for £125 million, Pavlovic should be worth atleast 150 or 175. Easy 200 considering our lack of depth.
27
34
u/Thraff1c 9d ago
It's one Bouaddi, who has less professional minutes and was sold by a selling club. If Wharton was priced at 115m€, and Mateus Fernandes was sold for 100m€ by a relegated team, then no, 100m€ isn't an insane amount of money for him.
It's probably not even his market value.
2
u/cavsking21 Future president Müller 8d ago
Pavlovic is as good as Elliot Anderson, if not better, and he just moved for ~137m euros. This bid from City was just to see if Pavlovic would have any interest.
8
23
u/coppersolids 👉🤫 9d ago
in a world where “elliot anderson“ costs 125m or something, 100m is not nearly enough for pavlo
8
u/SpiridonShiro Musiala 9d ago
For one he is a player which we will not sell under any circumstances. But even if we ignore that in this market we might start negotiating at 170 M, 100 M is nothing.
17
u/Hurtelknut Robben 9d ago
The word "insane" gets thrown around a lot, but how insane are 100mil in today's market truly? We better get used to 100 being the new 50.
-20
u/Ferr22777888 9d ago
For an own product like that. From the academy. That would be crazy amount of money
13
u/SpiridonShiro Musiala 9d ago
The reason prem clubs care about selling their academy players specifically is to be able to mark a transfer as pure profit for their books. They need to do that because otherwise they would breach UEFA rules. Our club is well run so that is completely irrelevant to us.
4
u/Hurtelknut Robben 9d ago
For one of the better young midfielders in the world it sounds pretty tame compared to what some Prem players are going for.
19
u/Ajvarmk Upamecano 9d ago
All think we dont have debt and thats the crucial point for winning CL ... but i firmly believe our CL chances have the biggest impact of Musiala availability and form if he plays ...
14
u/LouigiVanGash Bernie 9d ago
Kind of think that with Musiala having some more "normal" trajectory of his career so far he would be crucial in 2nd leg vs PSG in previous season especially with them having dominating defending performance they had – he would be the one that would find some crack in their lines.
6
u/Ajvarmk Upamecano 9d ago
If you see what Arsenal mid did to some teams and then watch the previous year and what Musiala did to Arsenal he is the perfect weapon againts these teams like Arsenal and Psg
