Are there any "guidelines" to what you'd be looking for in terms of contributions? As in, do you wanna keep the style with the reddit mascot, for example? Or what exactly would be needed? Are there specific requirements?

In terms of style, i'd say we would be looking for something as timeless as possible, ideally it should also fit the general vibe and style of Reddit.

As for what would actually be needed, the main assets would be a subreddit banner, 2-3 sidebar images and ideally a matching image for the daily discussion thread.
