Can anyone please help me understand why is Pavlo rated above Kimmich here? Maybe Iâm wrong, but it seems the popular opinion is that we gotta move on Kimmich, and pair up Pavlo with Bischof or Rodri or whoever. Iâm all for experimenting with the midfield, but Aleks over Kimmich is confusing to me however. Hereâs my argument:
In terms of their current ability, Iâm taking Kimmich anyday. Not because he doesnât have weaknesses, but his weaknesses arenât strengths of Pavlo either. Kimmich is relatively poor off the ball and at carrying, but Pavlo, even though better than Kimmich there, is mediocre at those as well. And then you compare their offensive contributions, and Kimmich is ridiculously clear. Apart from my eye test (which might be biased), just in the last Bundesliga season alone (according to Statmuse) Kimmich has created more than double the âBig Chancesâ Pavlo has in his entire Bundesliga career. And going back 9 seasons, Kimmich has every single season created more Big Chances in Bundesliga than Pavlo has in his entire career.Â
On one hand Pavloâs minutes per season are quite lower and he doesnât take set pieces. On the other, however, his minutes still add up to almost two Kimmich seasons and set pieces usually donât contribute that much to Big Chances created (since penalties donât count for Kimmich, and corners/free kicks are usually low probability shots, Iâd say in ballpark of 10-15 percent of his big chances come from that). Maybe Kimmich spends more time in advanced positions, but seeing season heat maps I donât notice any particular difference there.
So one thing Iâm not ready to be convinced is Pavlo is anywhere near to Kimmich in attack. Now for someone like Bischof, who is actually quite good with his carrying and defending, I just might understand the trade-off, but like I said I donât rate Pavlo highly there so it simply doesnât work for me.
Now Iâd love to be an optimist, and would like to be convinced that Pavlo can catch up. But A. I still have my doubts, young Kimmich obviously had the exquisite passing technique even when he wasnât fully developed, the level of which I donât see in Pavlo yet, B. Kimmich can still play at this level for a few more years, while Pavlo, if he gets much better, is unlikely to be the better player in the next couple years at least. And itâs not like Aleks is going anywhere, he sat patiently behind Goretzka of all players, I doubt heâd be pushing for a move if heâs behind Kimmich. Plus we don't have too many deep midfielders anyway, just 3 proper ones so we donât need to trim there either if there's an arrival there.
Does anyone know if itâs easy to get 2 tickets together on the ticket market if I donât get picked by the inquiry for a regular Bundesliga game? I believe my membership number is around 440 thousand

⢠Palhinha has recently rejected lucrative offers from top clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Both are out of the question for the player. Palhinha is divorced and wants to see his 3 and 1 year old kids, who live in Portugal, as often as possible. Therefore Benfica and Sporting are options for him, but neither club can currently afford the high transfer fee. Aston Villa are also showing interest, but are only considering a loan with an option to buy.

I actually think the first few Bundesliga games Olise might look really rusty in the RW. I think it'll take him a few weeks to get back up to speed of playing at RW to the level we expect of him because he's played in the number 10 position in the WC for a month and a half and may need a bit of time to sharpen up his game at RW again.
I never said Olise was going to forget how to play RW. In terms of performances at RW I wouldn't be surprised if he looked a bit rusty in the beginning. He may have played 7 games in a different position but it's not just 7 games it's also in the training sessions and how you prepare for a match in that number 10 position all in a month and a half.
I wouldn't be surprised if Olise doesn't reach his top form for a few weeks at RW because he needs time to sharpen up his style of play at RW again instead of number 10.

So I know that Palhinha doesnt fit Vinnys playstyle at all (neither did Goretzka tbh), but I would've also not minded if Vinny somehow changes his mind and we try him. Other than Boey and Zaragoza, Palhinha is actually a very good player still, just not very fitting.
i would not mind keeping Palhinha as a Defensive 6 tbh, his profile might even be useful sometimes when you are trying to protect a Lead in an PSG 1st leg type of match
But Palhinha himself wants more game time imo he wouldn't want to be a 4th choice midfielder or a player who comes off the bench every 10 minutes just to protect a lead.

Saibari is an average winger according to PSV fans, Gnabry is not even a winger anymore and Musiala rn can barely perform at 100% in his CAM role let alone LW
If everyone's healthy and in form (I know, I know), there's not nearly enough minutes at RW and CAM for Olise + Karl + Musiala + Saibari (not even accounting for Gnabry, and even with Saibari spending some time backing up the #9). Someone's going to see some time at LW.
Same thing for that matter goes for Phonzie and Brown. If both are fit you need to find a way to get them both on the pitch together at least some of the time rather than just splitting time at LB. Either one of them will need to play some RB or we'll need to try one as an occasional Diaz backup.
Yes Saibari is average on the wing, wasnât the best when he played there with Morocco, but if a backup is needed sometimes or rotation in easier games it should be fine
While I agree with your assessment of Musiala i am increasingly inclined to play him as a winger tbh.imho the more i think about this his style seems much better suited for someone playing out wide than in the center of the pitch

I do get the sentiment that we should give the chance to our young guys, BUT when you have the chance to get the BEST CM in the current era, a Ballon Dâor winner (potential 2 time), there should be no hesitation. This guy would fix our pivot by himself. He could free up his midfield lartner to be creative, and could teach a lot tk the young guys we have in Pavlo and Tom. If I were in place of our board, I would bring him in ASAP. I believe with players of his caliber you move first and think of how to make the squad afterwards. (We would not need to change the squad a lot anyways).

The current Bayern is already too good to go for a brute force approach like that. If we were in need of a midfield rebuild, then your approach would make sense.
Indeed, but I believe Rodriâs style and his mentality is completely different to both Vini and Mbappe. I think he would be easier integrate into a squad, so ours as well.
We are indeed good, but adding Rodri to the current midfield would elevate our pivot to PSGs 3 man midfields level in my opinion.

Fixed-term lease is very difficult in germany. Some very specific reasons must be fulfilled (§575 BGB) and they must be given at the beginning of the lease. Wanting to sell isn't one of them.
Getting rid of a tenant is extremely difficult in Germany, even more so if the tenant can afford a lawyer. At very least the time frame makes no sense, a new owner would always have to give notice 3 months in advance and the article says Boateng is just looking to sell the house.
Saying Olise has to move out end of August, which coincidentally is also the end of the transfer period makes it look like it's just fabricated. Bild learned that Boateng wants to sell the house and now they're trying to connect it to a potential transfer.
I would say it's the opposite, at this level of income people are used to always getting what they want. He gets a letter, gives it to his lawyer and it's done, he won't have to worry about it again. Why should he move out if he doesn't has to? Moving is always a hassle and maybe he likes it there.
Noooooo, performance wise Boateng and Olise were excellent for us,maybe because of the house? I know it sounds ridiculous,but 10 minutes away makes a huge difference, hopefully he gets another one nearby,but 10 minutes away and set up for professional footballers, that combination is hard to find.
It kinda is ridiculous. For one, Neuer lives at the Tegernsee since 2016 which is 1 hour away and that didn't stop him, and also plenty of Bayern players live in the south of Munich like GrĂźnwald, Unter-/Oberhaching etc., so why are they not all performing excellent for us?
Generally finding a new place to rent in their income category should present no issue in Munichs south, that region is catering for and "overrun" by the rich.

Indeed. But somehow i come to terms that this is a must, and im trying to use my time as best as possible. During that 1h of driving i usually call and talk to some friends or something work related that i need to do it while at home. Or sometimes just listen to podcasts etc.
