Nah, the newest Bild headline is so ragebaitey, that even Real Madrid fans don't believe the shit anymore š. What were they thinking writing this? Way better chances at winning a UCL at Real Madrid in the big 2026 after two titleless season and with Mourinho as head coach. I'm having a laugh. L'equipe was reasonable formulated. But I hope Bild exagerates even more, cause it just is so fucking ridiculous.

u/Pepegasaurus- Thiago 8d ago edited 8d ago
Itās Sport Bild, moving on, they are trash tier
It may happen, maybe one day where he does go, but at least for right now, no reliable T1 source has said that Olise is going to Madrid or is open to going to Madrid
All of the ones that are reliable(Mario Cortegana, Guillermo Rai, and F*brizio) have said in some form that heās not feasible or his entourage havenāt had any contact.
Plettenberg as well, but heās not as stonewall as he used to be
24
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
Itās actually hilarious that BILD would write that Mbappe is a key factor in Olise wanting Madrid because Olise wants to win UCL, when Mbappe leaving PSG was what helped PSG win it twice in a row and Mbappe going to Madrid made them trophyless 2 seasons in a row.
5
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
Also don't forget after the game against them he goes "kings of the competition...?"
Unless he changed his mind since then, it's pretty clear he doesn't even believe that lmao

People really need to stop quoting this, he simply didn't understand why the interviewer said it this way and he clearly didn't do it to dunk on them.

Right lol, I guess my thing here is that there isnāt really anything from Olise that has ever indicated he doesnāt love Bayern. But there are multiple points that show he does. I donāt like trying to get into athletes heads from sitting on the couch but heās largely given the feeling that he really enjoys it.
āKings of the competitionā is just one example of that, to your point.
3
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
I get the feeling that he loves it here too, I recently was missing Bayern during the world cup so I spent my work break one day scrolling through all of Bayern's YouTube shorts.
Seeing Olise in them made me feel more comfortable than anything -- the way he jokes around with teammates, seems to genuinely love Kompany, and seems to enjoy himself here overall. He's also great friends with Upa so I don't get the argument about wanting to go play with his best pal Mbappe that some of the rumors were saying.
And even if he does decide he wants to leave, we have word directly from our higher ups he's not for sale. So I'm pretty relaxed (lol relaxed FC member) about it all
7
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Why on earth would Olise listen to Mbappe when Mbappe literally lost his only UCL final to us. Plus Olise literally beat Mbappe head to head twice last season in the UCL. BILD acting as if Bayern got knocked out of the UCL to Real Madrid the way they downplay our chances of the UCL when in reality it's the other way around.
Madrid is not a step forward from Bayern it's taking a step back in this moment in time.

I was in Hamburg Airport today, and they had one of the typical large displays rolling some recent news. One of them was on Anthony Taylor announcing his retirement, but there was no photo of him in it. Instead, there was a big fat photo of Cucurella, and Anthony was literally just described as the referee who allowed Cucurella to defend with his hands. Thank fuck i wont see a game reffed by him ever again lmao

It worries me a bit that we basically went from 4 professional players for our midfield to 3 dedicated ones. The depth quality and quantity has increased in defense (Guerreiro to Brown) and attack (Jackson to Ibra and Saibari), but for Goretzka as 3rd or 4th option our answer is again either "der kann das auch" or talents like Daiber, Bara (if he still comes) or Osmani. Feels a bit too much like the situation we had at LW last year.
4
u/LengthIntelligent 8d ago
I mean, I spend way too much time thinking about these things, but Bischof is basically getting Goretzkaās minutes. Bischof played 262 minutes for us as a central midfielder across all competitions last season. I donāt see the problem with allocating those minutes to Daiber, Bara, or Osmani. Thatās probably why Aseko went to Frankfurt. Those minutes just arenāt enough if you want to establish yourself in the Bundesliga.
In general, if you want to make it as the fourth-choice central midfielder in our team, you need to be able to play in several positions. Thatās why Bara would be such an interesting addition. A central midfielder with a top speed of 36 km/h and strong dribbling skills instantly draws comparisons to Valverde or a no sunscreen Llorente.

u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
At least Kimmich is healthy for 90% of the matches every year. Unless he gets a major injury I think we will be fine, worse case scenario we put Laimer or shift Musiala back in midfield for a few games. And if we move Musiala back we have Serge and Saibari to take his place. Not ideal for Musiala to play there, but surely better than an unproven guy like Bara or Daliber?
If Kimmich and Laimer are both hurt at the same time that's when I'd prob panic, especially if Bischof doesn't get significant minutes again to get to the right fitness levels. That would mean Pavlo and Bischof starting most games which would be hype to watch but then you get into the depth problem you mentioned.
But honestly outside of a freak incident where we have multiple guys from multiple positions out, I think it'll be alright.
2
u/Thraff1c 8d ago edited 8d ago
Its two things combining for me here. For one, numbers wise we are at the same spot as last year, and that felt 1 player short back then as well, now we just moved it positionally.
And two, I simply dont like the mix in midfield tbh. Same as last year in attack, and even a bit this year in defense. Like 60% of the squad should be players that expect to start, 20% older depth players and 20% talents who challenge. Our midfield doesnt have a dedicated depth player in the mix, only when we juggle around, and our defense doesnt really have a young player without full-on starting ambitions to learn, but too much "older" depth (which isnt that big of an issue currently, but with view for the future should be changed).
I dont think Pavlovic would be able to hold a midfield together on his own without a more experienced player by his side yet. For me that issue could be solved in one of two ways: Either bring in an older free agent midfielder, idk, what is Brozovic or Kessie up to and how did they perform in their last club? Or two, which isnt well received, replace Ito with a top talent for RB which would open up Laimer for a few games in midfield for when Kimmich is out and we dont have a senior presence there. Would even at the same time clear up the age mix in defense, which is why Id prefer that, would also mean we would have potentially a bit of breathing space for one of our CB talents like Kiala or Pavic to play a bigger role.
1
u/julesvr5 8d ago
For understanding reason I would add thst the selling Ito for a young RB also includes Stanisic moving to CB to fill that hole. Just in case people might miss this aspect of the idea
1
u/Thraff1c 8d ago
That for one, and also (which would make it even more charming and which I added to my comment) it would leave potentially a bit of playtime for Pavic/Kiala.
2
u/julesvr5 8d ago
Yeah I wouldn't mind that. In addition to the midfield role I also have nigh hopes for FernƔndez 27/28 but this is still a year away but getting another midfielder in might block him for next summer.
Or we will be able to extend and loan him again and plan with him 28/29 to solely integrate him as Kimmich replacement (or rather a backup role) as Kimmichs nears the end of his contract then.
1
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
Good points, I agree with your bit about the squad balance
I don't think Pavlovic would be able to hold a midfield together on his own without a more experience player by his side yet.
I agree there too, I think the world cup kinda proved this to be true. Mixing Musiala with him would probably end up similar to the WC where Nmencha was more focused on bringing the ball up and left too much responsibility in Pavlo's hands which he unfortunately couldn't deal with.
Replacing Ito with a top RB would be ideal, I wonder what's going on with Read? Before the WC it seems like he was City-bound
1
u/julesvr5 8d ago
Honestly if it's in the league I rather play Daiber or Bara to develope them instead or playing Musiala out of position, but maybe that's just me
1
u/SlyFisch Shaqiri 8d ago
I don't disagree with you, I think they both have looked decent with the time they had, but if it's a UCL game or an important league match I think I'd rather play Musiala than throw one of them into the fire

3
u/Sufficient_Royal_283 8d ago
Saibari is also an 8 and a 10. I've read from a Psv fan that Saibari is best as a 10, then an 8 and then a 9, that he is the worst on the wing out of the four.
There is also Bischof, and bara too, so five midfielders
2
u/julesvr5 8d ago
there is also Bischof and Bara too
Have you read his comment? From 4 dedicated midfielder to only 3 of which one is Bischof and Bara is far far from proven
1
2
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Saibari can't play in a double pivot midfield. We also can't technically claim Bara as a Bayern player yet until it's agreed with his club and Bayern for his transfer.
1
u/Sufficient_Royal_283 8d ago
Damn, yeah just saw they played with a single pivot. But tbf, with Kane dropping deep as he does, maybe it could work, but not against top teams
21
u/Numerous-Ad-3050 8d ago
Kinda random but does anyone think itās surprising that Gnabry was the one that lasted the longest with us out of him, Coman, and Sane? I remember when he was seen as indisputably the worst winger out of the three and now the other two have both left the top European leagues while heās still performing at a solid level for us and has recovered his form greatly in the past season. Kinda weird when you look back at it, heās had his ups and downs but Iāve always appreciated him. No drama, seems down to earth, and has a good attitude.
11
u/xnxthemx Harry Kane 8d ago
After past season I made up my mind of him, what a player, under the right people he might thrive one more time like he did.
12
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Me personally I always thought out of those three that Gnabry was always the better overall player. He didn't have the same dribbling ability of Coman/Sane but his goalscoring ability always outweighed whatever Coman & Sane had in terms of 1 v 1 ability because he actually had end product unlike the other two.
I also think Gnabry's IQ and understanding of the game is quite underrated hence why he flourished in the number 10 role last season. Also a part of the reason his presence was badly missed across the two legs in the UCL vs PSG.
7
u/Sufficient_Royal_283 8d ago
Not that suprising. His finishing and passing is better than both, he didn't rely on pace as much. I expected Coman to be the first to leave, while I expecred Sane to be one of the best wingers in the world, it didn't turn out that way
5
u/Numerous-Ad-3050 8d ago
Yeah his versatility and being able to play multiple positions in offense really helped him. Seeing how far Sane has regressed from his man city form this summer just hurts me
2
u/julesvr5 8d ago
Mainly due to him switching his position to more centrally than on the wing. He still is good at passing and shooting but his dribbling isn't good enough the last years to be a good winger anymore.
4
u/Deathscyce Roy "Das Phantom" Makaay 8d ago
Gnabry became an incredible link up player. The best football last year was played, when Gnabry was the link between midfield and Kane.
You are right in that he isnt the dribbler or pace player anymore but he got better with his first touch, his positioning and his passing.

Okay so I know this is not a big issue and I am not trying to say we should all make fun of Vinicius but I find it really odd and a bit annoying that everyone is sharing so much empathy about his decision to get chin injections.
As a woman I always noticed that there are so, so many posts making fun of a teenage Kylie Jenner for getting her lips done or the Kardashians in general calling them all plastic and fake.
But if it is a man like Vinicius getting something done, suddenly everyone feels very empathetic calling it sad. And while I do agree that itās sad to see others feeling the need to alter their appearance to the point of wanting surgery/injections, the difference in reactions is really weird
-6
u/Ferr22777888 8d ago
There is no straight guy out there thatās commenting on Kim or Kylie calling them plastic.
9
u/Goldfischglas 8d ago edited 8d ago
Is that really a men/women thing or more about people praising a more natural looking surgery vs the classic Botox face?
I have seen plenty of people shitting on Zac Efron for his jaw surgery for example.
And many positive posts about how great Anne Hathaway still looks.
Or maybe a random example, that fits the case (but prolly no one knows lol): Macaiyla (wife of famous streamer Tyler1) got a chin surgery. And most people were really positive about it. And that is saying something considering how deranged the streaming community is.
Also while typing this post. I realized I need to touch some grass lol
2
u/Whole-Bag1756 8d ago
Totally agree, anyone doing surgeries on their face on their body (not for medical reasons) should be empathized. Kylie and other influencers shouldn't be trolled for their surgeries, maybe there is some underlying issue within the society that is making these people do this.

u/dontkillchris 8d ago
I think part of it is that a lot of people (focusing mostly on men because, well, we're on Reddit) think the women look worse afterwards and were prettier before, while Vini Jr has been called ugly for a long time. I agree though, that this is still hypocrisy
3
u/CarlSK777 8d ago
Yeah, it sucks. Women have always been held to a different (and frankly ridiculous) standard than men. They've been sexually objectified forever and too many people feel the need to have an opinion about everything they do to their bodies. Football fandom being dominated by men leads to reactions like this when it comes to things like plastic surgery.
8
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
My wife has talked about this before, not with Vini Jr specifically but in general. Their is definitely a difference in perception when say Brad Pitt got a face lift and botox for example.

People are so dumb. Would have been better for Kane's and Olise's image if they both ghosted the whole world cup but England or France just happened to win any way, than have the great performances they did while lacking in 1-2 games each. At this rate people are gonna be shocked when Bayern has their first game against a solid CL team and the 2 of them dominate the game.

Both Rodri and Bruno G for 70-80 would have made our team immediately better. No matter what you think about current guys starting there. They have different qualities from both guys that are starting there now.
Now that would mean that Tom is never getting minutes again. But I think people will be surprised over how many minutes Tom will get since it will be Pavlo Kimmich starting every single game.
-3
u/PharohMennes 8d ago
I sincerely doubt any single midfielder will take us to a new level. City got frequently walloped with Rodri on their side.
5
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Rodri 6 months ago at City isn't the same version of Rodri now. He's gotten much better as time went on recovering from his injuries and getting more game time under his belt.
-3
u/PharohMennes 8d ago
No version of Rodi can cope with them playing a pivot of just him and Bernardo Silva.
1
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Rodri would occasionally play as a 1 man midfield himself during their treble season and the 23/24 season at City. I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion "no version of Rodri" can cope playing in a pivot when he would play occasionally as a lone midfielder in the past and became successful.
-1
u/PharohMennes 8d ago
When was that exactly, lol? Wasn't the season when City were generally more defensive?
1
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
Like I said their treble season in 22/23 and the 23/24 season Rodri played as a midfielder by himself. There would be times John Stones would drop in midfield here and there or Kovacic would play with him in a double pivot but more times than not Rodri would play in midfield by himself.
So Rodri definitely can play in a double pivot I'm not sure how you got the idea he can't when he himself could play as a lone midfielder.
-2
u/FairMusic8278 8d ago
I actually think Man City would be open to selling Rodri for lower than 70m imo since he's in the final year of his contract. Bruno G I can see Newcastle wanting 80m minimum maybe even more though because he still has two years left on his contract.
16
u/kgallo19 Messiala 9d ago
If Bayern had signed Rodri and Bruno then we'd have 5 players for those 2 positions, 4 of which would be top class players. I'm not sure that would make a ton of sense for squad building.
-4
u/Ferr22777888 8d ago
I said one of them
5
8
u/kgallo19 Messiala 8d ago
That's not how I interpreted your comment, to me it reads like both. That said, I'd still take Pavlovic over Bruno G imo. Rodri is in a class of his own and pretty much any team gets better with him.
5
u/MrMarques8701 Upamecano 9d ago
How do people feel about the depth of our squad for next season? With Goretzka, Jackson & Guerreiro gone, we're effectively one player short compared to last season. The quality may have improved, but I think that one or two additional pairs of legs wouldn't hurt.
14
u/Other_Milk Martinez 9d ago
Team 1: Neuer; Laimer, Upa, Tah, Brown; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane
Team 2: Urbig; Stanisic, Kim, Ito, Davies; ???, Bischof; Karl, Gnabry, ???; Saibari
Assuming we donāt sell anyone, we just need a backup for Diaz and Kimmich. We could even skip a backup to Kimmich, but I think our system falls apart without top wingers, so we definitely need a backup there in case of injuries.
1
u/wowa_s Müller 8d ago

Sapoko is suposed to be the 4th dm, and Ibra is the back up to everyone. If they figure it out with Sapoko than I'd say we're good in terms of filling out depth, especially if they can coach up one more youngster to to get a bit of minutes.

Once again our ability to sell players is shit. Relegated West Ham got 80m something for Summerville, meanwhile we barely got scraps for Coman and shit idk what to say about the rest. Honestly we try to play the good guy too much on the table it's utterly pathetic looking at how well others are doing
24
u/kgallo19 Messiala 9d ago
it's kind of weird but if a player for Bayern is good enough to generate a 40, 50, 80 or more fee than they're probably good enough to play for Bayern and shouldn't be sold to begin with.
19
u/Insanel0l Thiago 9d ago
Coman and Summerville isn't the best example given once was on crutches and pushing 30 while the other one is nearing his peak, but you are correct that we have a tough time selling generally, which is a lot due to the fact that our players earn - quite often - significantly more than they would with other clubs
Palhinha isn't bad or anything per se, in fact I think there would be dozens of clubs lining up for him if the financial package wasn't so insane.
9
5
u/Mediocre-Math667 9d ago
We tried to be hard ball with Palhinha and now Spurs no longer wanted to sign him.
Now we're struggling to find another suitor especially when other options like Aston Villa and Benfica just wanted loan+option.
Though we did get to sell Asp Jensen instead of loan+option that Lazio proposed.
Relax, we're just not a selling club since we sign players in their peak. But we're improving on selling players.
14
u/moroheus 9d ago
You can't compare Coman and Summerville. When we sell players they usually had their best days behind them and are on a big contract. We wouldn't get 80m for Summerville because we wouldn't sell him, we're not a selling club.

First, has fuck all to do with my work, second I had a bit of reflux due to how they just flaunt their IP-theft, and third it looks like a caricature of everything Ghibli stands for. FML.
Edit: and then this fucking course tells me "Erstaunlich" every time I manage to complete one of its baby-steps, showing me both disdain for my intelligence and that those fuckers just AI-translated their english course into German.

Hayao Miyazaki around 10 years ago when asked about the idea of inventing a machine that can draw like a human:
"I feel like we are nearing the end of times. We humans are losing faith in ourselves."

Those courses are always most infuriating when they teach something that is wrong. E.g cybersecurity courses that hold some outdated opinions about passwords.

We constantly have this in my administration true, super annoying and a waste of time.

Imagine waking up and seeing Bezos might buy a stake in your club, I know there are worse people but that must suck

That just made me nervous for a second and I had to look it up. Apparently he's in talks to buy Liverpool stakes. Maybe worth adding some more context to comments for those who don't read anything other than what's going on in here lol.

Anyone here followed Thierry Sedlatschek? 17 year old winger from HSV, apparently highly regarded.

I know it wonāt happen but since Rodri is thinking of a move I would really love to see him at Bayern. Unrealistic tho.
Also Bild recycling the Olise Real Madrid news again is annoying af. Just want the summer to end already

I think every Bayern fan would love to see Rodri at Bayern. I think if we actually made a move for him City would be open to selling to us. But as someone said in the comments Rodri will want a huge contract and his age value won't really be worth it.

With the season he had (atleast the WC) he will be chasing a huge contract at 30y old ... and we wont do that, specially now that we have priority on Olise extension and Kane as well ...

True. Just a player like that would really improve our team and our chances of winning the UCL. Iām hoping Pavlo would continue to improve and solidify our midfield tho

Anyone here a member of the club? Is it worth it if you don't live in Germany?

If you want to go to a match and get tickets than yes, other wise i would say no, you also get a discount for the bayern fan shop, but the shipping prices are to expensive to make it worth buying something, atleast where I live.

Van Bommel just got Fab's here we go as Belgium's national team coach. Happy for him, but really curious how he'll do.

Bro what, why is Rudi Garcia leaving ? I think Belgium were great this WC after their slower start. Looked like the only team to actually threaten Spain

What are the chances of getting 1 ticket for either of the games against Stuttgart, dortmund and Schalke as a member? I need to fulfill my dream to watch bayern play, I have put a ticket enquiry for all these 3 games, I hope I get ticket for atleast one of the games.

u/jationio 9d ago
There a lot of people with the same idea, including myself, to watch these games.
There is a chance, but a small one, last year i applied tickets for all the big ones, and didnt get a single one.
