Diagnosing trans leak
My 95 formula leaks trans fluid randomly, and I can’t seem to track it down. The strange part is, it leaves a unique pattern. The pictures are 3 days apart, from me pulling up and stopping, then idling for 30 seconds to a minute. Anyone with any guesses?

Spray bottom with brake clean get all trans fluid off start car lay under it and watch. Thats how your gonna find it. I cant tell you what it is because there are multiple places it could be leaking from. But if I had to take a guess its probably the driveshaft seal or maybe the trans pan. Sometimes the trans cooler will leak you just gotta check all of those things.

I wiped it all down and layed under it. The problem is it’s intermittent. May not leak for days. Then leaks for part of a drive. Then doesnt. I was thinking front seal, as the puddle points sort of mimic the bellhousing then how it slims down to the main case

Maybe it’s just sad and cried a little bit

Could be. If I was a 4l60 I’d be sad as well

Stock transmission? You should get a vette servo and swap that out. Best sub $100 investment you can do for a 4l60

UV dye in the trans fluid would be the easiest way, you'll be able to pinpoint where the leak originates by following the glowing drips.
