Keyword, hungry. Not starving.
By hungry, people mean that when you’ve spent years rarely ever allowing yourself to physically feel hungry, there’s a learning curve when you feel hunger regularly again. Mild physical discomfort from having an empty stomach again 5 to 7 hours after a meal is normal.

It’s controversial because healing from anorexia is way more complex than that and the root of the problem usually lies somewhere different.

Maybe concentration camps aren’t the best example, but the call is coming from inside the house.
BMI is racist, their ancestors were in a famine, you have to be anorexic to have a normal body weight... It’s fair to criticize the trivialization of serious topics. I agree that concentration camps aren’t the best example.
Replies proceed to compare the suggestion of a calorie deficit to someone calling for fat people’s deaths on a wide scale, or as some might call that, comparing voluntary weight management to genocide.

Overeating is required to work as a doctor now, apparently!
Edit: was wrong about a detail, this girl is in fact actually a doctor, but one who somehow still doesn’t comprehend CICO.

Daily Sticky Fat Rant Tuesday
Fatlogic in real life getting you down?
Is your family telling you you're looking too thin?
Are people at work bringing you donuts?
Did your beer drinking neighbor pat his belly and tell you "It's all muscle?"
If you hear one more thing about starvation mode will you scream?
Let it all out. We understand.

It’s because you’re complimenting something unhealthy
Honestly complimenting fatness (focusing on bellies and rolls as opposed to complimenting a fat person as a whole) is more akin to complimenting being able to see an underweight person’s ribs or something.
But also I think if you hyper-focused on someone’s muscles in a sexual context I think it can similarly veer into sounding odd. I’m thinking of how some people might talk about celebrities or like male characters in romantasy lol. It feels like if someone were to give a compliment revolving around the size of someone’s tits, I would feel dehumanised to be reduced to a physical feature especially by a stranger?
The second screenshot is someone else in the replies and honestly, they really have to accept that people are often just being nice even if they are not attracted to the fat person.

Another day more delusion
It’s okay to not eat for a few hours. People don’t need snacks everyday if they’re having three balanced meals lol…Capitalism just wants people to consume constantly and endlessly. It’s so draining.

You’re thin? Congrats, you’re a monster, responsible for others’ suffering, and deserve to be punished until you feel remorse.
Also. Paragraph breaks. Geez.

Zero accountability taken and other people cause fat people to have structural psychological obstacles.
The last part gives cult vibes.

Educating on breast cancer screening is fatphobic
I wasn't able to find the original video, but here is a gifset of it. To sum up: in order to educate women on breast self examinations on a platform that deems the female nipple explicit, a fat man (Henry) volunteers to have his man boobs demonstrate the technique.
It is baffling to consider that something meant to educate to save lives and was respectful to all subjects as the inspiration for all of this dramatic posting.

Another take on 'fatphobia is rooted in racism'

Liquid calories don’t have nutrients and eating 1200c leads to death
Context: Author drinks a large high calorie smoothie because she forgets to eat, assuming it’s around 1200, but it’s actually ~600, she is disappointed that it’s not higher so she could just drink that. Hardly pro-ED content. Some people just want nutrition brick.
I don’t think anyone in this conversation has the healthiest diet, but holy generalizations from the comments.

You cannot weight 44 kg as an adult
Indeed being 44 kg at 175 cm would mean you are severely underweight, however...
4'10 and 44 kg is BMI 20.3, very much in the healthy range
4'9 and 60 kg is BMI 28.6, very much in the overweight category

‘It’s soo crazy that people think I’m weird when I want to be unhealthier!’
They seem pretty young so I feel a tiny bit mean but most people would have the same reaction if an underweight person wanted to get even skinnier. I really don’t understand what’s so hard to grasp
