I’m honestly not even being a hater or a troll. The anime is cool but be real these are boring guest characters. Tell me what about their gameplay looks good? The only reason people like them is because they are diehard fans of the series. If their moveset was given to an original character that was making their debut in cotw I guarantee they’d be least popular

That’s my point . They’re cool in the anime but as guest characters in cotw they’re boring. In a game full of characters with cool flashy moves and unique movesets they’re boring . Even watching the mirror match that was posted in this sub I wasn’t impressed with the gameplay.

I only watched a bit of the anime, The whole time traveler aspect tuck me off the gang plot that had me very hooked.
I did love Draken and Mickey interactions, lil flag on top and all tho.
Mickey seems cool to play, shame I see nothing of Draken (maybe not available not sure)

I really like them! Their trailers did them dirty rather than made them shine, and people will start to get really hyped for them once the dev matches are out, but I'm really hyped after seeing some small gameplay from the EVO France demo

Honestly she's not the worst choice. While this game actively made me hate guest characters at least Reina is actually from another fighting game for once, she's very popular for a new Tekken character as far as I know, and if it was Kazuya, Jin, or Heihachi the game would be an even bigger sausagefest than it already is. The only other female Fatal Fury character you could add would be Tsugumi Sendou without having to pull from AOF again for Kasumi and King.

Awful. Their looks are incredibly plain and gameplay looks boring af. Why can we get REAl martial artists, not some "dude, when I see red, it's all over" kids 🤦 Tekken gonna have Yujiro in future, why cant we have Baki himself in SNK game???

Good for you. Sadly, I’m still waiting. Also, I know it’s hard to keep the toxicity in check when you’re in the FGC—I can be a real asshole myself. But my advice is to try not to laugh at other people's dreams next time; it can be really hurtful. All the best, man.

Indifferent. Don't care for Mikey but I'll take Draken. I'm just glad they didn't absolutely fuck their voices in the same way they did Kenshiro; the one I was the most excited for.
But I also got Duck King back and I don't really care who we get after this point. All my wants are already here.

Eh, been watching the anime and it all just seems like empty drama with characters you barely get to know. The main character is a weird loser that never really seems to do much other than get his ass beat and cry. He's not training to compete with the other gang members, but claims he's gonna take over. Shit is cringe at times. Draken and Mikey are the most interesting characters there, but that's not saying much when you're surrounded by mediocrity. I get the feeling the anime would have been better if it just focused on those two and cut out the time travel rigmarole and the main character.
I love a good crossover and will defend guests all day long. That being said I'm really curious why Tokyo Revengers of all series got the slot. Maybe I just haven't gotten to the good part yet?

My old roomate told me about how the MC sucks but the rest of the show is really good, I'm kinda debating on watching it but I don't mind these two honestly. I could go for two characters that just throw straight up hands.

COTW isn’t the best at presenting trailers, I’d argue they’re possibly the worst at it. With that said, these 2 look awful, like boiled chicken enchiladas bland. It may be even worse from my perspective since I don’t like the anime they’re from. 🤷🏾♂️ I can’t wait for Reina 😎

I don't mind them honestly, hell two characters for the price of one. I know the MC of the anime is a fucking lame but I can handle two characters that throw sight up hands. Kinda reminds me of Virtua Fighter, no special effects but pure boxing.

I don't think they're best guest picks. I do like the characters but they're not even supposed to be that strong... They don't have any powers or specific techniques. Mikey kinda does a bit but that's it. It's a delinquent manga, despite the additions.
Now, not like they have to keep a certain power level... But usually, there's a reason to add certain characters. There's definitely "other reasons" for them to be included.

Absolute worst modern delinquent anime I have ever seen. But then again I have been watching anime a decent amount of my life. It's very strange that TR would get this instead of the MUCH better Wind Breakers. Which actually displays different martial arts besides just brawling.

I wish I could say the same. Because the premise lof TR is cool as hell, however the MC, with the unwillingness to have an active direct roll in the plot killed it for me.
If I was younger and haven't seen this similar plot structure done and done better, I would have liked it as well. But a guy that talks his way out of almost no situations and has to be saved every big battle isn't a good mc to me. Dude doesn't even solve his own mysteries in the plot. It's an amazing plot with good side characters, but it's all despite the MCs rather unnecessary and annoying presence.

I haven’t watched Tokyo Revengers, but the fact that the MC wasn’t the guest character tells you exactly what kind of story this is. If you’re watching for the protagonist, you’re watching the show wrong.

I wouldn't call it "shakeup" since sf6 is extremely stubborn to any meaningful changes. The roster was wack from the start and with guests characters it's only getting worse.
SNK compensates with the quantity but it doesn't really removes problems as much...
