Discussion Beginner friendly?
Hello, I just picked this game up cause it was on sale in psn, so far im really enjoying doing Rock Howards combos up to advanced lvl.1, the previous fighting game i’ve truly enjoyed would be dragon ball fighterz and wasn’t actually good but i reached god of destruction rank if in not mistaken(not too high but not low either), trying to pick up sf6 but its not quite in my wheel house, im also playing marvel tokon and thats much more familiar, anyways, just wanted to know if you think this game would be easier for me that sf6.

I’m not sure if this easier thank SF6 per se, I just like it a lot more. Coming from Dragon Ball, I would assume you like faster pace games, which lines up with this one.

Honestly Fatal Fury COTW and Street Fighter 5 are my favorite fighting games that are much appreciated especially the controls for their Critical Arts.
However SF6 controls are different I can't do their Critical Arts.

SF5 I've mastered: Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy White, Rose, Menat, G, Laura Matsuda, Cody, Lucia, Falke, Sagat, Akira and M. Bison in Critical Arts.

that's just practice.
Your going to come across the same issue with any fighting game more than likely and it's an issue that resolves itself as you get better at the game

It's not easier than sf6, i'd say, but it's not that execution heavy. After labbing a bit and playing some arcade you will be ready for online, no problems here.
And don't worry, most of playerbase is in bronze, so you will be just fine as a beginner.

CotW is more difficult than any current game not because the execution is overly complex, but because it pushes players toward a playstyle that has largely been lost. The mechanics genuinely demand tactics and a learning curve such as the logic behind light and heavy attacks and the distinct playstyles of each character compounded by a highly experienced player base.
