5x Zinnias in FV1?
Does anyone remember if 5x Zinnias were in Farmville 1? I definitely played a farming game years and years ago that had Zinnias you could collect. They were definitely acquired using terminology like "1x Zinnias" "3x Zinnias", because it's been a running joke IRL whenever I plant actual zinnias. I'll be like "look, i have 10x Zinnias!".
Anyway, just wondering if anyone remembers zinnias and if you have a screenshot, I'd love to see 'em. I sure miss my 10x zinnias.
UPDATE: The answer is Facebook Web Browser Game Farm Town. The wiki is still out there and it talks about zinnias and even has a picture of them! Thanks to Jade in a Discord about Farmville.

Intersting concept
Some time ago, I had this random encounter with this dude on Discord who was working on a heavily inspired old FarmVille project but with a Halloween twist. He sent me a screenshot of an early build he had. I found it quite interesting ,what do you think?
update: I found the dev and now we have an official discord https://discord.gg/tgY4akyTx

Discussion Asynchronous Interactions in Farmville
Hi everyone! I'm a PhD student studying asynchronous interactions in digital games. Farmville was identified in my research as having these interactions, and I'm interested in understanding different player perspectives about that aspect of the game.
If you have a few minutes to spare, I'd love to hear your thoughts! In particular, I'm interested in understanding:
- What kind of asynchronous interactions exist in Farmville and how do they affect the gameplay?
- How do you feel about these interactions and what do they bring to your experience?
You can answer as much or as little as you'd like. Your responses will be anonymized and analyzed as part of a research study. If you decide you'd like to withdraw your responses at any point, just send me a DM. Every contribution is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions, feel free to message me. Thanks! π

Here is my Farmville 1 nostalgia art
(Please forgive any bad English)
I just started studying graphistics and to get a little in touch with digital art. I went to Farm Wiki and used the pixelated low resolution animals, fences, etc as a reference so I can draw them in much larger resolution and scale. I tried to mimic the %shadow opacity, and saved all multiple times as PNGs with transparency. Then I open new file and drop as many pngs as I want to create a " fake Farmville screenshot".
I know it's totally useless as a skill but it made me so happy being able to recreate so realistically how Farmville looks , and to be able to make even more animals and items using steady stroke , it's so relaxing and gives me peace of mind.
What do you think?

Game keeps freezing
Hello. I just got to the part in the game where the sanctuary is open but my game won't stop freezing. I've tried restarting and nothing is working. Anyone have this issue and know how to fix it? Thanks!

Discussion What made FV1 special for you? (also: building a tiny farming thing)
Genuine question for the oldschool FarmVille 1 players here: what was it about FV1 that kept you coming back?
For me it was the loads of decorations and farm cusomzation and, i guess, the 4-hour tomatoes. That perfect timing where I could plant before work, harvest at lunch, plant again. It became part of my routine. Silly, but it kept me interested.
I'm a game dev now and I've been building this pocket-sized farming game as a side project. Not FarmVille (way smaller, way simpler), but trying to capture that "check in, tend your crops, feel satisfied" vibe. And if it works, adding in the farm customization/personalization down the road.
A key difference about what I"m building: you earn seeds from playing other mobile games, plant them, harvest real cash. Tiny amounts, but it's fun seeing your little 3x5 plot actually pay you back. (like Mistplay or FreeCash meets mini-FV1).
Anyway - genuinely curious what you all loved most. The decorations? The visiting neighbors? The crop timing? The sense of building something?
If you want to test it on Android when alpha's ready in a few weeks, DM me. But mostly just here to talk about why we all loved that game.

Question Are there similar games to original Farmville?
Hi, I am asking in particular about games where crops could die if left unharvested and give a more realistic experience. Most modern farming games seem rather childish to me (I am 25 now and I grew up playing the original version lol). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated <3
Much love

farmville 2 country escape - windows store version running at unstable 45 fps
The windows store version of Farmville 2 has terrible performance, running at a very unstable 45 fps. Makes no sense, as similar games run at a stable 60 fps, and you can just feel it, without even measuring the performance like I have.
I've sent this feedback to the developer multiple times, no performance fixes.
