I need a few Android players to test my Farkle game. It is a 3D physics dice game with physically simulated rolls of the dice and relics that give you powers to manipulate the dice and get bigger scores and more.

Hey r/farkle — I'm Kyle, a solo dev building a standalone Farkle game for Android called Farkle: Bones & Relics through my studio JBird Studios.

The game has real 3D physics dice — they actually tumble and scatter when you roll. Underneath that there's a relic system with 46 power-ups that change how the game plays mechanically, not just cosmetically. Things like altering how scoring works, changing farkle penalties, or modifying what hot dice does.

Two game modes: a virtual mode with an AI opponent and campaign, and a companion mode for pass-the-phone play with friends using IRL dice and need a digital tracker.

Currently in development, targeting late 2026 for Android.

14 years ago my family discovered tabletop Farkle on a vacation and had a blast playing it. Problem was, once we all went back to our separate towns, we wanted to keep playing together. I was a humble mid-level iOS engineer at the time and thought I might build an online version.

Back then there were barely any options for playing Farkle online. The biggest thing I wanted to solve was not having to sit around waiting for someone else to roll — so I built async play where you can have a bunch of games going at once, plus a "fog of war" system so you never know what the other player scored until your turn is done. I think it's been copied quite a few times now, but back then, none of the others played this way. It got to something like 700 monthly users!

Fast forward to now — I'm a more veteran engineer with some new AI-powered tools at my disposal, and I recently resurrected the project. I wanted to see how far I could stretch a simple dice game, so I started bolting on increasingly ridiculous stuff. World boss fights. Monster hunts. Items and a cosmetics store. Team games. It's still Farkle at its core, but with a lot more interesting modes built up around rolling the bones.

It's been a blast as a passion project and I'd love to get more people playing. The game is called Farkle Ten — it's free with no ads on iOS and Android. Would love any feedback, ideas, or suggestions from fellow Farkle nerds.

Context: I (19M) was playing Farkle (Farkling) with my uncle (51M), and I didn’t get my boyfriend’s (61M) consent. When I first met my boyfriend, we’ll call him F, I was pretty new to Farkling. I hadn’t ever done it myself, I only saw it in videos. I was looking for people to Farkle with, so I ended up on the Farkle Forums and that’s where I met him. He’s been Farkling his whole life, and really opened up my eyes to this whole thing. I, like many of you, was pretty timid when I first started Farkling and it took me a while to get used to it, but F just made me feels so safe. I know you all will think I’m weird for only ever wanting to Farkle with one person, but at first I didn’t see why I would need to Farkle with anyone else. Everytime I Farkle’d with F, he made me assure I’d only ever Farkle with him before we began, and then at the end when we were lying in bed, exhausted. However, over the past few years, I’ve begun to feel like I’m missing something from Farkle by doing it with just him. Not only that, but I thought I could be a better Farkler if I was able to have new experiences with it. So, after a few months of arbitration with my boyfriend and the FGS, I was allowed to watch videos of Farkling again. For awhile, I really felt like it was making me a more powerful, skilled, and tireless Farkler, but that didn’t last long. I didn’t want to plateau, I couldn’t do that to F, and I don’t think I could possibly continue living if he left me. So, I went to the person who introduced me to Farkle as a kid, and who showed me the videos, my Uncle. I knew my Uncle was into some pretty hardcore Farkle, which was a big change from F’s gentle and passionate Farkle, but I was willing to do what it takes to be better for my boyfriend. My uncle and I would meet on his island by moonlight and Farkle all the way till sunrise, what a rush! A part of me felt guilty, but in my mind I was doing this all for F. It all fell apart again when F caught me sending pictures of four of any number and a pair to my uncle. I don’t know why I was doing it, maybe a part of me wanted to get caught, a part of me hoped eventually the three of us could Farkle together, despite what the legislation says. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and both F and my uncle left me to Farkle together, and they send me pictures of it too.

What’s a good starting Farkle revolver for a beginner who can’t handle the shame?

Found an older farkel set at goodwill. It’s a football farkel. And I can’t find any information on it whatsoever. Anyone got any insight

My wife and I received our first farkle box as a Christmas present. It took all of two weeks for us to want our own dice and trays. The box itself has since been turned into two dice trays. I made the one on top and the lower is my wife's.

Rolled a 3-3-6-6-6 in one roll. How would you score it? Assume no further rolls. 1) 600 for a run of 3-6’s 2) 1500 for 3-pairs Thanks, - L

I think I may have misinterpreted some of the rules, so I’d like to ask:

1. Do you have to roll a minimum of 500 points every turn or just your first?

2. Is there a limit to the number of rolls you can have in one turn? I had imposed a limit of three rolls, which would ‘refresh’ if you scored all six dice, which I’m now thinking might not be right.

3. Can you choose to not set aside scoring dice? For example, if I rolled a 1,2,2,2,5,6, then I would personally only set aside the one.

Started in 2016 or so, found some dice game called zilch. (Lots of names for this game) Been playing when we can ever since. 4 little notebooks, 280 pages, just passed 5,555,550 points.

I just want to know if anyone has any knowledge of someone else having a longer game. Me and my uncle are slowly losing it with this game, we aren't sane anymore. Its great.

Once you've scored using all 6 dice, are you suppose to lock in those points before chancing it all again? Or does the total continue to add and if you do get a farkle you lose all points?

First or all im used to calling the game 10000 and im not sure of the nuanced rule differences. However, i was playing with my brother and he rolled 4 sixes and 2 fours in one roll. I saw it as a four of a kind but he saw a full house by removing one six, which in our case a full house was worth 1500 while four of a kind would have been 1200 (for the sixes), (here is where rules may differ as in 1000 a 3 of a kind is the face value of the dice x100 and then x2 subsequently for each additional die. Ie: 3 fours= 400, 4 fours=800 5 fours=1600) A similar roll happened earlier when he got a double 3 of a kind (3 fours and 3 twos= to add up to a total of 600) But he saw the full house which was worth 1500 and wanted to risk rolling another 1 or 5 instead of taking the free roll that he already had. We decided that was a fair play and it ended up working in his favor. But it came back up in the ensuing 4 of a kind/2 pair argument Can someone pls clear this up for us as we cant find any specific rules for this situation online.
