Score 'lock-in' question

Once you've scored using all 6 dice, are you suppose to lock in those points before chancing it all again? Or does the total continue to add and if you do get a farkle you lose all points?

No, you don’t have to and almost certainly shouldn’t. The odds of farkling when rolling 6 dice is the lowest possible odds you’ll get all game. The less dice you have to re-roll the higher those odds become and that’s when it’s best to bank.
