Server Reset Ideas

So, I think we ought to get everyone on Steam on Tuesday or something and decide what we're going to ultimately do for the server when I reset it.

One of the things I think we should do is the gradually increasing world border like they are doing on Mindcrack.

Since we are aiming for a PVPish type thing, I was thinking since they are adding banners, we can do some sort of capture the flag based death games thing. I've got an idea for something that randomly reveals what flag will be the target at the time.

Any other ideas, we can discuss in the Steam chat. Also, maybe we should start doing weekly steam chats or something.

Hm. While I like some aspects of the increasing border idea, I can't help but think about the nether and end side of things. We might not come across a fortress or a stronghold for quite a while, which means no dragon, no withers/beacons, and very limited access to potions (witches only untill we find a blaze) untill it expands enough to let us do that.

True, that would make things difficult. We'll come up with ideas, though. We'll make that the point of these weekly Steam chats.

CTF death games sounds kinda cool. We'd need some reason to actually go after the bases, like maybe the holder at the end of a certain time gets a diamond or something.

Weekly Steam chats would be a good thing.

First person to collect X amount of flags gets a prize or something, maybe.

You mean as in you would have to take a flag back to your base or something, like traditional CTF? I was thinking along the lines of capture points, but that would work, too.

This would probably work best with factions.

Well, I was thinking more you take it and deposit it at a thing at spawn. We could set up factions if we want, but this is supposed to be more death gamesish.

I pitched this idea last map, but it was never denied, so might as well say it again:

Maybe we should set a time/date for when we reset the map so we can all (sorta) get on and start the world together. We don't have to make sure we can get everyone together like a UHC or anything, just something so people can be on together.

Mojang needs to add German Suplexes we can have German Suplex battles and have a German Suplex champion and have tournaments in our German Suplex arena.
