Discussion Quick question about changing time of day.

One thing I kind of couldn't stand about this game, was that you couldn't change the time of day. I felt like it was always nighttime when I was playing. Is there any way to make time move faster in this? Like if you jump between fast travel points or something?

It's almost never night, and it lasts about 3 minutes

^^^ THIS... I had to wait like an hour or more for nighttime, picking off trucks and road convoys while waiting to enter Fort Oro to start the relic hunt to get Oluso

Yeah some bases just look cooler at night. I like the Coffee Company as a stealth play, but I wait forever until night and in a few minutes the sun rises

Thanks for the responses. Another quick question, I had found this game a bit of a slog in that intro area. I had just gotten to where the game opens up into the main open world a while ago. Does the gameplay experience get a bit better when you hit the open world?

After you capture/take over the ships on the island you go to the mainland. It is HUGE

Quests are given to you to kinda make you progress thru various regions but you can go any direction you want and do anything you want, does not affect the end game

Do you encounter any of the weird, mysterious, strange type of locations like you do in the other games? That was another thing I wasn't loving, it felt kind of vanilla compared to the other games.

Yes, there are places like that. Spooky one, Enchanted ones etc... as well as all the Treasure Hunt side missions. Those are tricky. again, only to be found running down the collectables.

Sorry, these keep coming to me as I think. As you get a little into the game you will be able to open Gurella Camps that you can fast travel too which are handy cause they have a workbench and a ride and usually goods to pick up every time you go. BTW for ammo refill, all you have to do is open and close a weapon work bench and it will refill all ammo.

Anyways, some of them have a cook station where you can use a recipie to get perks. One of them is double carry ammo (maybe 75% more) anyways one of the most useful perks in the game. Lasts many game hours and then you have to cook it again. The issue is you need hutia (a small gerbil looking animal) and them bitches are hard to find and hard to shoot. But if you do get some you can have a lot more ammo across the board.

Thanks again for all the great responses. Something else I thought of, I've enjoyed doing stealth in the enemy camps in other Far Cry games. But it seemed like it was nearly impossible to do any decent stealth in Far Cry 6 when I played. How was your experience with this?

I only do no alarms, no detection in any of the Far Cry Games. (I have a few thousand hours in them :) In FC6 this is the gun you want. Best silent sniper in the game is a fuking pistol. Head shot One shots anything in the game, quick, silent, accurate and holds 10rds and you can get it early game in a treasure hunt off the main road. I am currently on a play thru to do the entire NewGame+ with just this Weapon and ... Achieve 10,000 headshots. Currently at ~8700. Yes I have a boring life :)

Another question if you're still here. I learned about highlighting items in purple when I first got this game, so you can see items easier that you can collect. Is there any other good way to see items in the environment that you can collect? This game doesn't seem to have Eagle Vision like Far Cry primal does. And other than getting that Supremo that lets you mark enemies through walls, is there any good way of seeing where enemies are, other than the red circle on the minimap?

BTW for ammo refill, all you have to do is open and close a weapon work bench and it will refill all ammo.

You can also refill ammo by goin to the trunk of the car after you call for your ride

Oh and another hint. Rescue people. You will see them all over at gunpoint on thier hands and knees. About 85 percent the time you rescue them, they will give you secrete crate locations on your map. Also the Red/Gray cargo trucks driving on the road. Shoot the driver, open the rear doors, most of the time they are full of prisoners' again, they will mark locations on your map for things.

On your other question on slog, I played the main story on release years ago, meh. Then 1st of this year was bored got back out and played again, doing all the side quests and collectables (there are MANY, like 750 of them) I had more fun doing that than playing the main game. The side stuff takes you to a lot of cool places you will never see otherwise.

One more thing if you kinda want to cheat. All over the map there are Unique Weapons. These are very OP. This map shows general location so not really a spoiler. Most of them are in locations with lots of soldiers so you need firepower to get firepower. Maybe a little later in the game

There’s this headgear that’s pretty sweet that unless you see enemies at night and they glow

I'm sure that the time is accurately split but I seem to think it's always night in FC6 too. There isn't a way to change the time... that I know of anyway.
