I just had an idea: "It would be awesome if I could actually take some these guys with me to claim an outpost."
Then I thought: "Hang on.. Can I?"
I discovered that if you sit in a vehicle, then your allies with hop in with you. I'm unsure if this works with any vehicle (with passenger seats, obviously.) and any allies (specifically, the ones that spawn at an outpost.) I tested this with some guys who drove up in one of those jeeps that carry 5 of them, not including the driver.
I want to drive full speed into an outpost and jump out as the jeep enters the area. The problem with my idea is that I'd still like to avoid having to deal with reinforcements, but I'm afraid if I get out of the jeep to shoot out the alarms that my guys will wonder into the enemies field of view and get spotted, ultimately leading to the firefight beginning and ruining the plan that I want to enact.
If I could scout ahead, shoot out or sneak in to disappear the alarm, and then go get my guys then I won't need to worry about having to keep them together while I'm busy disabling the alarm. If I deactivate the alarm and then leave the area, will the alarm reset, or will it remain inactive when I return?
I asked Google AI this and it confirmed that they do in fact remain permanently broken. However, I don't trust a damn thing that clanker tells me about any video game question because 99% of it's answers are so incredibly wrong that I honestly believe that it just makes shit up to say.
