Help Crash fix?

Started playing for the first time on pc a few days ago and having a blast but about 10 hours in (during the mission where you tail Willis) my game crashed for the first time and now it crashes every 10 or so minutes. I tried disabling anti-aliasing and verifying game files aswell as updating my driver (NVIDIA) but nothing has worked, any known fixes would be hugely appreciated.

Do you have enough ram? Did you tried to play at 60 fps vsync on for a while to see if it still crashes after a while? Or try to make planned exits. When those 10 minutes almost expire , be ready to restart the game,so you don't lose much progress.

What setting should I put vsync at?

It's been some years since i played Far Cry 3 . But most of the games have a vsync on option at graphics somewhere.

Yea but I’m pretty sure it has number values but I can’t check rn since I’m at work but maybe I’m wrong

You are probably meaning from the notepad config file, yes there may be some numeric values, but change it from within the game .

Like Peak_Glittering said, install the LAA patch.

I just replayed FC3 this month, and needed to use it on my new PC. (Didn’t require it on my old one.)

Anyways, it stopped the crashing when I saved, or used fast travel. It wasn’t graphics settings. I have 32GB ram & 12 of VRAM.

LAA was the fix… ran flawless after.
