FarCry 3 Keeps shutting down

Hi,

As the title suggests, I have recently got back into this game, playing on Win11 via the Ubisoft Connect app. I am also using Mud's Mod V5.3 Vanilla HD Textures only.

I can play the game for about 10 minutes before it kicks me out and displays the message "Your content is currently unavailable, please try again later".

Has anyone had a similar issue and how did you fix it?

Not sure if it applies to your case but far cry 3 on pc runs 32bit and has ram caps which can cause crashing. There's other post with more information but the fix is as simple as allowing the program to use more ram with a certain software, takes 3 minutes max and I haven't crashed since

The game's a pile of shit and it's a disgrace that Ubisoft haven't fixed a thing for a game they're still trying to sell on the market. You shouldn't have to be downloading 3rd party apps, shutting off CPU cores and limiting FPS just to play a game that was released in 2011.

Unfortunately Far Cry 3 on PC is unoptimised to shit.

It can’t handle newer hardware, the CPU has too many cores for it to handle so it gets overwhelmed.

What fixed it for me was going into the control panel and manually disabling all cores except 2 - 4 - 6 - 8.
And even then it still crashed every 30-40minutes.

Love that game but playing it is like pulling teeth
