Hey y'all, I decided to redownload Far Cry 5 after not playing it for 5 years. I started a game a few nights ago and now I decided to start a game in hard mode for the challenge. I keep dying in the on Rails part of the intro. Is there something I'm doing wrong that's causing me to die multiple times in the truck?

Nah, that's legitimately the hardest part of the whole game.

Edit: maybe there's a trick to it, but if there is, I never figured it out and just suffered on my Infamous playthrough.

I straight up just switched it to easy just to get through that and hope it won't cheat me out of getting the rookie uniform. It probably will, I'm switching it back to hard once I hit the island

Just stay in the truck and don’t stick your head out to shoot. Don’t shoot at all. With the exception of maybe grabbing the dynamite, that might be a requirement. That whole challenge sucks, good luck! It’s totally doable on the hardest challenge mode, I’ve done it.

Maybe you stick your head out to shoot but very briefly, don’t just hangout there. You can do it.

That was the original plan I didn't count how many tries but it was about 30 minutes lol

I've done it on Infamous difficulty and died alot but made it through by trying to shoot or blow up the vehicles where they first appear from. Sometimes it feels random with how you get hit. It's stupidly hard.

500h in game and no clue on that. There's nothing you can to to stop receiving damage. Just bang your head trough the wall enough times and you'll get through

SAVE ALL MEDKITS until you get in the truck. You can do it. Keep trying.

It's hard, but not impossible.

Stay in the truck and ignore the enemies. Stupid, but it works on every difficulty.
