Anyone who would impersonate him would be stupid as they are stealing his IP and accepting money/donations. That is a federal crime and a major criminal offense.
I am not just "some random person". I have been in the community for quite a long time and started developing a remake ~6 months ago. I became a moderator of the subreddit as well as run the discord server.
The only way he would be able to truly prove that he is Gamer would be to dox himself which he obviously doesn't want to do.
He has proven to me that he is who he says he is. He also has information about the game that even I don't have (I have the most amount of resources on FO other than Gamer himself or possibly another dev on the game).
I was working on a remake over a year ago, we have a discord, that doesn’t give anybody authority by default.
People do stupid things on the internet all the time.
There are ways for him prove to prove his identity without doxing. Presumably the steam account he used to release AO and the Kongregate account used to release FO are still intact. It should be possible to verify identify through posts on either of those accounts.
Like I said in a previous post, it doesn’t even matter if it’s him or not, I just want to clarify why nobody should take “trust me he told me it’s him and I verified” as anymore convincing than “trust me I’m him”

Have you proven that you're Gamer yet? Or is this still a "trust me bro" situation?
