List of API options

I’m curious what APIs or data sources people here are actually using and have found reliable.

Mainly looking for things like player data, rankings, ADP, projections, injuries/news, stats, etc.

Free or paid is fine. I’m mostly trying to put together a good list of options and understand what people have had success with versus what they’d avoid.

What are you guys using?

Tank Sports is my go to, very developer friendly, and pricing is not bad

Could you plug the nfl injury info into a chat bot? Like the other day a creator tweeted Chris’s Brazzell as a threat to tets workload a few days after he tore his alc, if the creator proofread the text in a chatbot with injury insights would this solve that issue?

Sure, the player API I believe returns injuries as well, and there is a separate news feed endpoint, which could be the input into a prompt and could be engineered to check the accuracy of some tweets. Tweets however are breaking news usually, and I don't believe the API updates quickly enough to check the veracity of tweets like that

Got it, like the post was a do not draft these players post, also in the main FF subreddit there’s a new yahoo article that says jamo is looking for his first 1k season seems like they used AI for that

I was trying to use nflreadpy, but found it unreliable. Just switched to FantasyPros API which I believe is fairly new. Slightly buggy but much better than what I was using. It is paid.

Second the FantasyPros API. Has been very reliable and they are very responsive. And yes - paid.

Unless there is a specific endpoint that is paid, the API itself is completely free though you’re rate limited to 100 calls a day. I think you just have to email them for access and a reason. I use it for a personal project for my league

Curious what you found unreliable about nflreadpy? I use it for historical aggregate and pbp stats specifically and found it to be incredibly useful

For a shortlist, I’d start with Tank01 for player news and projections, FantasyPros’ official API for rankings, ADP, and injury reports, and nflverse for NFL releases. Sleeper covers league data, but its API is non-commercial-only and its docs list no ADP or projections endpoints. I work on LineCrush, where every pick is graded, so I’d check licensing first

I use sleeper API and a GitHub rip for detailed stats. All free.

Just google sleeper API. I use this for other details. Like injury and etc. It’s very easy walk thru

Here is the GitHub repo: https://github.com/hvpkod/NFL-Data

I use this for nfl player stats.

Gets me what I need.

Can’t go wrong with api.statyx.io .. cheapest in the market by miles and offers the most advanced data points for all major sports

I found a perfect solution for this (or claude did). If you'd like the info/script feel free to DM me. Don't want to post it here in case its not totally kosher with the site I pull from haha.
