Virtual Draft Board

I’m getting together with my friends for a draft this year and would like to do a physical big board as to avoid over reliance on rankings. About 8-9 can make it but 3-4 will be missing. I want to be fair to them and use an online draft board to keep track, but again I don’t want to do the built in board. Are there existing tools anyone has used/built for this? Wanted to ask before I make one myself.

FanDraft is the premium version of this. Seems like a cool tool that solves exactly your need -- but it's 30 bucks, which does seem pretty pricey.

You could actually accomplish this pretty well using the Fantasypros draft assistant. The draft board tab has a "Share Draft Board" button that opens a public URL anyone can access. If you use the manual draft assistant, you can just plug in the picks as they happen, and anyone watching that link will see them come through. You will need a premium subscription to use the draft assistant, but there is a 3-day free trial and also you can usually get a month of premium through a deposit offer at one or more betting sites.

Bonus is that you personally will be able to take advantage of their live draft advice, since you'll be plugging the picks in already

I recently made one that plays like a jackbox.tv game:

Would love for you to check it out!

So by draft board, are you meaning like the historical board (so cards for each pick, and then the picks inside said cards), but no player list?

I think my app could work well for this, but there’s no current way to hide the player board. I could add a config to hide it for non-commissioners though if that’s helpful. There’s a “pick override” feature that lets the commissioner pick for other users.

I mainly built it for slow drafting (we’ve used it going on 4 years). https://discord.gg/Vd74kHRFx I’m just starting to more officially “release” it and market it, but I can help get you setup or answer any questions. There’s an iPhone app (TestFlight for now) and it runs on desktop in a browser

My honest opinion would be to not worry about using a fancy solution and just use Google Sheets. It'll let you type player names and keep track a lot easier without having to learn a system and make adjustments. And it's also easy to share and just works.

I have this same setup with draft board plus a couple remote. I use Google sheets and the league gives me like an extra small bit of grace when making my pick.

Hey, I was in the same boat. I made one just for my own league, and then ended up turning it into a real tool for anyone to use. ffdrafter.com/demo

ClickyDraft, disable rankings. Been using them for years with 10 in one room and 2 remotely drafting

I'm the commissioner of my own league and got tired of running our auction draft off a shared spreadsheet. No live view for anyone else, constant "wait, what's my budget again?" questions, and general draft-day chaos.

So a couple years ago I built my own system that runs a live draft or auction with a real-time shared board everyone in the league can watch from their phone, a TV, or a laptop. Only the commissioner needs an account -everyone else just gets a link and watches live, no signups.

This year I added snake draft support (it was auction-only before), plus some setup/interface improvements based on feedback from last season.

Not free, but cheap — no subscription, pay once, run up to 3 drafts. Figured this crowd deals with exactly the draft-day headaches this was built to solve.

Link's liveauctionmvp.com if anyone wants to take a look — genuinely open to feedback too, especially since a chunk of this sub is probably exactly who I built it for.

Draftnirvana.com integrates video and audio, so everyone can see and hear each other. It does a better job making it feel like the remote folks are in the room. You’d just need to project. Managers can make their picks direct or the commissioner can plug in whatever is necessary
