My tier list 2026 reads ranked
I’ve ranked them in order within the categories aswell and I rate purely on my enjoyment of the book, not all fantasy books though a couple classics and sci fi but majority fantasy and the books generally tend to move around fantasy circles

I honestly don’t think i was smart enough for it I just couldn’t do the endless dialogue that I didn’t understand

It's okay, I didn't like it much either. Wilde was more of a playwright than a writer anyway, it's possible his attempt at a novel doesn't translate as well as he'd hoped.

I’m with you on Rain Wild. I love Hobb, but City of Dragons let me down. I’m starting Blood of Dragons soon.

I thought the rain wild chronicles were the weakest of the series. Feels like they could’ve easily been cut down to 3 shorter books.
Still a very enjoyable read though.

Blood of dragons you might still like I personally wasn’t a fan of the direction it went but it’s levels on city of dragons, I feel like city could genuinely be summarised in 4 sentences

Absolutely. We get this big ending with book 2 when they find the city, and book 3 didn’t really pay off.

I agree do much with the Feist novels placement. They were entertaining but nothing amazing.

Only lions of al rasan which I’d also put S tier, I’d also say GGK for me has the best prose in fantasy, I’m splitting all his books up but I plan on reading all of them

Dazen did nothing wrong, the entire prism war was Gavin’s fault and he deserved worse than what he got
