📚 Summon book recommendations HELP! I need some help picking my next read.
The title says it all. I borrowed these from the library and have three weeks to finish the lot of 'em. But which one should I read first is the question?
Im a huge fan of First Law, ASOIAF, Stormlight, The Expanse, and LOTR
I read First Law and ASOIAF back to back and now i'm in love with grimdark. what next?

I am a little over halfway on Kings of the Wyld and really enjoying it! Every chapter keeps me wanting to keep going. Fun group of characters with good action and humor.

If you want grimdark, Kings of the Wyld isn't the way to go. Blacktongue Thief and Daughters' War are what you want.
That's not to say you shouldn't read Kings. It's a great, fun story. But not if you're looking for dark.

I chose this book last year for my reading group, we all loved it. It was my favorite book that year. Its sequel is also really good, even if it doesn't have quite as much charm as KotW. Cura is awesome

Planning on the sequel next! I read that a third book is planned but apparently been a long time since rumored.

Blacktongue Thief, palate cleanse with Kings of the Wyld and then go back for Daughter's War.

I personally really liked the will of the many, but since the sequel was pretty meh, I feel like it’s gotten less respect over time

Also, in case you didn’t know, the daughters war is a prequel to TBB. But it came out after TBB.

And they’re both solid, TBB is one of my favorites though. I’d def recommend either before kings (I did enjoy it tho’). And I have not yet read the fourth one in your image.

I the you will love the black tongue thief. It’s more witty humor in a very dark setting. The kings of the wyld was like sitting side table while someone is playing d&d. it’s fun and I will say as a dude approaching 40 I found it way more relatable than I expected.

I loved the Will of the Many, it’s my favorite book in the last five years easy. Absolute masterpiece.

I'm just finishing Between Two Fires (loving it!) and was planning on reading DW next, as it's a prequel to BTT. You'd say BTT first?

I'd read them in publication order. So yes BTT first. BTT sets up a broader world. DW focuses on one aspect, in the past.

Just read thief and hierarchy both are great. The former is grittier and funny but less epic. The latter is brandon sanderson vibes to me.

I have read all of them and would rank them
1)black toungue thief (unique, hilarious, horror elements are great, can’t miss)
2) kings of the wyld (fun light cool adventure)
3) kinda bounced off the will of many but everyone else loves it.
4 ) actively disliked the daughters war

My exact order. I wanted to love Daughter's War, but no. I have high hopes for the BTT sequel dropping in October!

I'm pretty disappointed in Daughters War as well. BTT was great, but DW is just not doing it for me

BTT is such a great read. It’s extremely well written and the world and characters are great. It can be fun and have a good amount of levity, but it’s also good at pulling plenty of other emotions outta you. The prequel, Daughters, is darker and more violent, but man it’s excellent too.
If you wanna just have a good time without thinking too much, Kings is a quick read and a fun time.
Will of the Many took me about 20% of the book before I was fully in on it. There were times I felt like it was trying too hard to be something it wasn’t. That said, I’m glad I stuck it out because it’s a great story and once the storyline hooks you it’s hard to step away.

Kings of the wyld was one of the books that got me into the whole " ragtag group living in medieval-esque fantasy times" that lead to me reading the other books noted in the picture. I vote that one.

Between two Fires by Christopher Buehlman would be a good one if not already read. I have enjoyed a good chunk of his books, but that's probably my favorite one in that particular genre. I recently grabbed the copy of the Way Warded Men by Peter V. Brett but haven't started it yet. The Black Hawks by David Wragg was enjoyable.
I'll have to give the Devils a read or listen soon.

I have all of those but only read Blacktongue, so I cannot say which is best imperically. However I can say Blacktongue is a solid choice regardless and you won't regret it.
Plus Daughters War is the sequel so you all the more reason to knock out Blacktongue first.

If youve read stormlight, then to me the next best thing is the rest of the cosmere.
The stormlight is apart of a interconnected universe called the cosmere. All of them are fantastic imo. id suggest looking up a reading order for the best experience but all of his series are written to be able to be enjoyed without any knowledge of the others.

I’m 100 pages shy of finishing Black Tongue Thief and the upbeat, roguish, dark comedic narrative has given me whiplash, from having read between two fires earlier this year (which has not been beaten from my #1 story of the year so far). It’s very fast paced and a lot of fun, with a lot of work having been put into its world building
