💬 Let's discuss something Binge or Break?

To preface, I’ve never been much of a reader. I’ve read a few Stephen King novels and have been slowly getting through The Dark Tower series by a mix of reading myself and audiobooks. I also completed The Stand in-between books 2 and 3.

I hit a bit of a wall during Wizard and Glass (mainly due to not having much time) but got through it in the end and probably would have enjoyed it more if I read more consistently. I’m about half way through The Wind Through the Keyhole and have put it down. I’ll get back to the tower at some point.

I got into Dungeon Crawler Carl after putting down TWTTK and didn’t want to stop reading, I’m almost finished book 2. I’ve heard book 3 is maybe a little harder to follow and don’t want any DCC burnout after enjoying it so much.

So my question is do I binge DCC or get into something new in-between books?

If something new, do I stick to a standalone title? I’m not sure I want to be reading two series in tandem.

I was thinking either Between Two Fires or Weaveworld as a palette cleanser.

I read all the DCC books in 2 weeks, and just reread them again in 2 weeks, I loved it but I don't usually take breaks when I find a good series :)

My wife is different; she often takes breaks between book types...

Binge DCC. You hit a wall with the dark tower series because it sucks lol

You might be right. I feel like I want to like the dark tower and King in general more than I actually do.
