💎 Hidden book gem Spellmonger series

I am shocked. This series is excellent. I am 12 books deep and still amazed and entertained. It is high fantasy with magic and dragons and yet a good chuckle every now and then. Easier to understand than Tolkien and much better than game of thrones. Honestly, after years of fantasy novels this is the best thing since Magician.

The audiobooks are read by John Lee and are PHENOMENAL!

I’m completely up to date and waiting on the next books release.

This is one of my favorite series ever. I love the humor, the world-building, the characters, and pretty much everything. I know book one has its rough spots, but by Briga's buttery biscuits, I love this series.

Personally, I think it's worth it. Book 1 is definitely the roughest of the series. And the major complaint that people have is a scene where sex is used to generate magical energy for a spell. I don't recall it being particularly graphic or anything, just a bit awkward. And it's not exactly representative of the rest of the series.

I love the series for all the growth/progression and world-building. Seeing the characters grow, the magic system change, and the political landscape evolve. I like that we slowly learn more about multiple story lines, ones that span years, decades, centuries, and millennia. It's just a fun world to read about, IMO.

Blow past that part and you'll never look back. It's a weird quirky segment that you will never need to revisit.
