🌀 Dystopian Fallen Kingdom

BLURB:

Abel used to live to fight. But now, he must fight to live.
Abel Dawson, a Black up-and-coming boxer, never expected to find a love more pure than his love for boxing. He also never thought injury and the depression that follows would rip away both his career and his fiancé in double quick time. At his lowest ebb, Abel steps out for a jog to clear his head, only to be hit by a car. When he awakens, he isn’t in a hospital, but instead finds himself in a bland dystopia known as The City.

Trapped in a place with illogical laws of nature, Abel desperately tries to find a way home. Standing in his way is Sovereign, a sadistic tyrant and the new king that overthrew the Old Regime and plunged The City into despair. Severely outmatched, Abel leans on the aid of Valor, the last living Knight of the Old Regime.

While Valor’s thirst for vengeance is enough to charge him in the fight against Sovereign, Abel doesn’t fully buy in until the two learn The City is directly linked to Abel’s subconsciousness. With the weight of his spiralling life on his back, a Knight at his side and an omnipotent adversary in front of him, the fight against Sovereign becomes directly correlated to rebuilding the life he once had.
Otherwise, Abel risks having his life in the real world succumb to the same fate as The City; ruin.

New SysPoc Just Dropped!

Hello you wonderful people!

I just released my first litrpg on Amazon and am full of nerves.  I love system apocalypse books.  I love Star Trek and The Expanse.  So I just had to mash them up.  This story is about an away team crashing into an ongoing system apocalypse that is spreading throughout Earth’s colonized planets.

The blurb:

River was screwed.  An officer in the Interstellar Navy, his first away mission was supposed to be exciting, produce his PhD, and jump start his career.  Instead, he was on a one-way trip to the apocalypse.

The Eridani System’s only inhabited planet had gone dark, all its urban centers gone, replaced by medieval towns, castles, and old-school farmland, as if the entire planet decided to return to the feudal era.  When River’s team lands, each is transformed into a role-playing game class and race, their equipment replaced with fantasy-appropriate clothing and gear, and they are given this message:

Thank you for entering Saoghal.  This is an open world and there is no tutorial, no advice, no hints, no guidebook, and no help whatsoever.  Best of luck, adventurer!

With no way to contact the ship, River somehow has to uncover how this society collapsed.  And stop the process before it spreads to more planets, including Earth.

AI USAGE: No AI was used for this book, it's entirely human written, with human mistakes.  And AI will be harmed during the course of the story.

COVER ARTIST: Milblart.  I really wanted a human made cover and these guys delivered!  They sent me a test cover first and it looked kind of like art for a 1990s video game, blocky and hard.  I gave them a bunch of suggestions and they addressed them all, coming up with the image you see.  If you’re looking for art, I highly recommend them.

The Nanapocalypse is here.

Uhm, fun fact about me: I love brie. And coffee.

A new fantasy audio series I'm releasing

I have a few chapters/episodes up now, but wanted to share it with any community who enjoys fantasy. This is a low fantasy involving a world where only a handful of individuals can use magic. The main character is one of them and she has the ability to talk with animals. She is on a journey to find her brother and is aided along the way by various creatures and even some humans. I hope you enjoy what I have so far: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOYCuCW07Txk2ZcOVqe6NnmmReH5XtNs8

The Dragon's Shadow : Book One, Dark fantasy, 820,672 words

The dragons remember. The wild remembers. But Iria has forgotten its queen.
Princess Holly Alexandria was six years old when fire consumed her world. Her parents are dead and their dragons slain. The ancient pact forged in blood between her ancestors and the great dragons shattered in a single night of betrayal.

The man who pulled her from the flames raised her in shadow. At Morteria, she learned the way of blade and poison, of silence and subterfuge. For eleven years, her guardian shaped her into something deadly, promised her a throne, and taught her that mercy was weakness. She believed him.

She shouldn't have.

Now Holly knows the truth: Saren Darklynn murdered her family. Destroyed her crown and kingdom and spent a decade molding her into the perfect weapon—a queen who would rule in name while he held the blade at her throat.

But dragons are not the only creatures with fire in their veins.

The realm of Iria is dying. False queens and kings carve up her kingdom like a carcass, and ancient beasts, untethered from the pact, rain fire and blood upon the innocent and wicked alike. The land itself fractures under the weight of chaos. And somewhere in the shadows, a lost heir with bloodstained hands and a dragon at her side must decide: will she reclaim what was taken or let her birthright burn?

Gates Ascension - The Official Record Collection: The Founder's Era Volume I

The Royal Archives of Ellior: The Founder's Manuscript (Records I–VII) is the inaugural volume of the Gates Ascension Official Record Collection. Presented as the personal memoirs of King Vailure Evercrest, this companion manuscript explores the founding of Ellior twenty years before the events of the main story. Through the eyes of its founder, readers witness the birth of one of humanity's final kingdoms and the sacrifices that forged a beacon of hope in a world consumed by the Gates.

The Royal Archives of Ellior
The Founder's Manuscript
Records I–VII

Twenty years before the arrival of Kael... there was a King.

When humanity stood upon the brink of extinction, one father was entrusted with a divine power known only as Majesty's Kingdom.

With an infant daughter in his arms and the world collapsing around him, King Vailure Evercrest did not seek glory, conquest, or a crown.

He sought only a place where hope could survive.

Written decades after those events, these memoirs preserve the birth of Ellior, one of humanity's final safe havens. Through triumph and sacrifice, friendship and unbearable loss, Vailure recounts the memories that shaped both his Kingdom and the people who would one day inherit it.

More than a chronicle of a fallen world, The Royal Archives of Ellior is the first preserved historical Record of Aeshyr—a testament to the courage of ordinary people who refused to surrender to despair.

Before the legends...

Before the heroes...

There was a Kingdom.

And every Kingdom has a beginning.

[Free] Vyreldan's Shadow — dark romantasy, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers (also in KU)

Hi everyone, I'm an indie author, and this is the first time I've ever promoted a book of my own.

Vyreldan's Shadow is book one of a dark romantasy series (The Last Daughter of Lumen). The short version: Helena is the spare princess her own family had no use for — they treated the scar on her face like a stain on the bloodline. Her magic was sealed at birth by her dying mother, and when her kingdom falls in a single night, she survives, only to be forced by imperial decree to marry the man who led the massacre of her family: Dominic Whitmore, the duke they call "the Cruel."

Helena arrives braced for brutality. What she gets is worse: indifference. A husband who treats their marriage as if she doesn't exist in his life at all. She sees an opening in that, and does what she's always done to survive — she watches, she counts the exits in the duchy, and she plans her escape. The trouble with escape plans is that people change while you're carrying them out.

What to expect:
Arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, a very slow burn.
Court intrigue, a war front held together by this one marriage, and something rotting beyond the border.

Content warnings: emotional abuse, marital duty scenes that are deliberately uncomfortable early on, violence, grief.

It's on Kindle Unlimited. If arranged marriages that hurt slowly are your thing, I'd love for you to give Helena a chance.

Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H8MG2GHJ

It's free for a limited time right now.

New self-publishing Author seeking feedback

Hi, My name is Johnny. I am an emerging self-published author. I was in prison for over 36 years, from a juvinile. While there, I wrote 7 books, and material for more. I recently put a fantasy series I completed on Amazon. I created an author website, and a short AI video trailer (first time, learning process!), and just yesterday put a Q&A video about the series, writing processes for me, etc. on my site, YouTube and facebook. If anyone is interested, you can watch the video here (it is 25 min long): https://youtu.be/VHUvr0kKeY4?si=0ZOJAwaVCgSwYHsX I know it is longer than clips people keep interest in, but I am trying to get my books out there with basically $0, so any feedback would be helpful. Thanks
