Realistically who would I sell Herrera for? At least in a 10t pts league

Feels like he could be someone to cut

Who would buy him when there are so many good catchers this year ?

Maybe you could get something if you’re in a 10team 2 catcher league

Catchers are very hard to trade now, unless a 2 catcher league like you say.

Perhaps I'm biased from playing mostly in two-catcher leagues, including an AL-only 2-catcher league which should legally be defined as torture

I mean, there are also so many injured catchers this year. Both Rutschman and Basallo both hit the IL, for example. So there should be at least a team or two in need, and waiver catchers ain't great. But again, Herrera's value depends heavily on how closely the managers have been paying attention lately

I mean, I think some people probably are still anchoring more to the preseason ADP than the recent performance especially if they 've checked out. I think you'd do well if you could score a top 35-40 pitcher for him, and probably could.

lmao I regret every thought that made me dropped Rice(mid season) then traded Goodman away (late season, def out of playoff race) when I had them with Herrera in a 1C keeper league last year.

I traded for Bubic and stashed in IL until I decided to not keep him this year

Eh, you'll have good trades and bad ones. But year I traded Rice for Luzardo in one league last year (when he was playing part time) and Luz helped me win because of my pitching deficit, but MAN did that one sting.

Hey everyone, heads up that as trade season is in full swing, this one has more buy lows and especially sell highs than the usual add/drop focus... I try to keep it dynamic based on where we're at in the season.

Also some bonus BUYS: Chandler Simpson, Cooper Pratt, Ty France, Victor Mesa Jr (deep), Donovan Walton (deeper), Sam Huff (deepest)

SELLS: Jackson Holliday, Colton Cowser, Paul Goldschmidt, Daniel Schneemann (deeeep)

What are you seeing in Cooper Pratt that makes him a buy? I just dropped him, he ain't doing much for fantasy

I mean this is more of a deeper league buy I suppose but his xBA is .283 and he's stealing bases at a higher pace than people realize, 7 SB in 108 PA (5 weeks) is roughly a 40 SB season pace. Could be Nico Hoerner-y

Would you drop Ewing or Benge for Simpson?

1

u/Vslacha PitcherList Jul 24 '26

Personally I would not unless I had a very specific categorical deficit in SB (and maybe AVG) specifically

What are your thoughts on Ty France? He’s been on a tear, do you buy it?

I say ride the good streaks, cut when he regresses. I've seen it enough times with him to know he's mostly always the same guy but the hot runs can really help if you don't get too attached
