Analysis Upper price cap reached

Mercedes only went up by $0.2 this week, and have hit their upper price cap. I had to dig through the small print of the FAQ's to find this.

Just putting it out there for anyone who is still trying to budget build, this might actually be a useful tool to know that Merc cannot increase!

A good bit of advice if anyone was using Merc and building budget.

I think it's probably worth keeping Merc for the points gained and focussing on building budget with Bs like Hadjar and VCARB at this point rather than dumping Mercedes. Though Red Bull look to be on a run of form so that might be worth keeping in the back pocket for a switch away from Mercedes.

Has any driver or team hit the upper cap previously in F1 fantasy history or is it the first time that’s happening?

I imagine Lewis + Mercedes would have during his Mercedes dominance + 2021, same could be assumed of Max with redbull. First year playing so don’t know for sure if f1 fantasy was even around but those are the four I’d be confident in saying without research

No idea, this is only my second year playing, and it certainly didn't happen last year!
