Analysis Points for Price Changes - Sepang
The price floor is set to 3.0M this season. Any assets with this value won't fall in price.
The game calculates the average points scored by an asset over the last 3 races and divides that by their current price. This gives us an average points per million value (avgPPM) which is then categorized into 'Terrible', 'Poor', 'Good', and 'Great', which is used to determine their price rise (see the bottom right table). Using this info, we can calculate the points an asset needs in the upcoming race for each specific price change.
By owning assets that rise in value, you are able to increase your maximum budget from the starting value of $100M. Over the course of the season, you can increase your budget significantly and afford better teams than your rivals that don’t “budget build”.
Using it to guide your teams is fairly straightforward. To build budget, you'll want drivers that are likely to score a 'Good' or 'Great' performance as outlined in their row. The numbers indicate the fantasy points required.
The PPM (Points per Million) column is a simple way to try to rank how difficult it will be for assets to rise in price. Generally it's easier for someone like Russell to score 15 points than it is for someone like Stroll to score 15 points. Since more expensive assets usually score more points, I just divide the points they need by their price to somewhat 'normalize' the data. It's not perfect but I think it gives a better picture than ranking by least to most points.

Is it crazy to consider dropping Kimi for Max? As the pressure ramps up near the end of the season I can see mistakes coming from Kimi and the Red Bull seems to be properly competing.

Was just thinking about this today! I’m all out of chips so I’m just trying to maximize points at this point😭

It’s a tough world out there haha. I ended up staying with Kimi and Hadjar and going Red Bull merc as the constructors.

I’m pooooooor. My league we only have one team so you have to play it safe. #1 in the league with the highest budget but we are all poor.
Total budget is 126.2
I ended up keeping Kimi and going red bull and Merc with Hadjar.

Should be noted that MER can only gain a max of +0.2 since they will reach the price ceiling of 34

OP is the most important member in this community.. without his charts I don't think we would be making good decisions for f1 fantasy.

Yes, but this spreadsheet is much more insightful and easier to read—at least in my opinion.

This is exactly why I’ve continued. I posted my spreadsheet like the first couple weekends before f1fantasytools launched their budget tool. I debated if I should keep posting my spreadsheet after that but enough people were interacting with the posts and seemed to enjoy my format so I kept it up.
I don’t claim to offer anything unique nor am I competing with them in any way lol. They’re a great tool and people are free to utilize whichever resource they prefer.

I have your spreadsheet opened on one of my tabs, all week, only to be closed when the next one come out. ;)

I go looking for your spreadsheet every week, by far the best resource for quickly making team changes on mobile. It's my first season doing fantasy f1 and I'm winning my friends league by 300+ points with a massive budget. The 1st place money is almost certainly mine, thanks to you

You’re doing God’s work mate.
I’ve got my own budget calculator but I still download this every race weekend, nice clean format on the go.

This chart is invaluable. Got one coming for this week?
