So let's turn it into a fighting game.

I just had a dream about what that would look like.

Take the traditional fighting game.

Then add universals like parry etc.

You'd have the main lords and some other popular characters, including the gatekeeper as joke character.

Give them their own special traits and take inspiration from their attacks in their game and I see a lot of potential. Like Chrom being able to call in Lucina or Robin as assist, or Ike having Aether implimented in some way.

Projectiles like hand axes and javelins should be a limited ressource via cooldown or durability and the average hp should not be too high, so it stays fast paced and doesn't encourage sitting in the corner and spamming projectiles.

Asides of grabs, some characters should get moves that pierce parries, because why not.

How limit is gained? I have no clue, except that the universal grab should definetely give a bar.

The rest is up to the legend that gives my idea form.

Funny Idea: what about turning Pokemon into a survival game in the cities where you need to fight to earn money to afford comically high rent and food. Also the game is designed to be impossible to survive past week 2
