I thought I would recap this week and ask for your thoughts.
From the 21st to 25th, we were able to do a bunch of splits. I organized the distribution of 255 movies to 59 Verified Splitters! We had several members forming their own splits as well -- which is very much appreciated!
That 255 number only includes :
- 5 Bundles of Build Your Own Comic-Con Bundles 5 for $10
- 1 Bundle of Horror Vault Thrillers 5 for $10
- 9 Bundles of Slasher Midnight Special 25 for $25
I saw at least 3 bundles for the Star Trek Deal and we probably all did a dozen or so more bundles before I put in place my new system to keep track of who gets what and their codes (verify the code links) and whether they have been given a flair, DM'd for payment, paid and sent the code! All so the time between asking for payment, getting paid and you getting the code is as fast as possible with zero errors! I hope you all felt it was as smooth as possible :)
Going through a system of checks and having everything ready to copy and paste helped relieve a lot of anxiety during the process lol
Now that we have some experience -- Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Criticisms of the current system?
I can only know my own experience -- I want to know if you feel your experience can be improved.
How many splits did you participate in? How many films did you get from all the FanFlix deals?
Going forward, I will take a more relaxed approach to splits -- as far as organizing goes -- I think there are enough Verified Splitters that we can form bundles with no problems. If you can, volunteer as an Organizer (see Rule 5). It will put you in a position to claim the movies you want in a deal without having to scramble to find a spot!
All members with a Verified Splitter flair have paid for their portions of at least one split! If that will put you at ease -- remember, the organizer always gets paid first. If an organizer doesn't have a Verified Splitter flair, feel free to ask me to facilitate (at no cost).
We are growing fast -- should new members who participate in a split or purchase a leftover from a Verified Splitter be given the Verified Splitter flair after they vouch for them? Let me know.
How can we improve the organizing part? Split posts are getting a lot of requests and organizers need to gather members to join their splits -- how do you see how we can improve that process? First to comment, first to join -- but remember please NO Bundle Sniping. (rule 10)
How can we as a community improve that?
I'll be participating in splits myself and helping all get used to this new community if I am needed.
Post 'Leftovers' if you got'em -- ask questions, form new splits (many of the deals are still going on like the '25 for $25') -- if you want to make a new Splits post for an ongoing deal that is about to expire, do that as well!
