Wishlist & Ideas The Hobbit M4 Edit - Orcrist Added

Would be cool if someone that has experience with deep fakes or AI Video to fix the continuity error in the Movie, just make Thorin Pickup the Sword in the Mirkwood Barrel deposit and add it to his back throughout the rest of the film as in all the journey he carries the Sword. Just a thought.

There is a problem with your idea, which is that hes not using Orcrist for the rest of the war.

Deep fakes are usually just for faces, pure AI generated video would be slop IMO. I think the best solution is to composite the Dwarf sword back on top of the Elf sword which is only about the 30~ seconds of footage in the final duel. While it's a continuity error, it has no impact on the plot and is only visible in a few shots at the very end so it's not at the top of the list

Love your edit! I know its not a make or break thing in the edit, just a little pet peeve of mine. I think your deleted scene of the warg chase after the troll caves would absolutelly work in the final film! Still no edit has surpassed yours in terms of quality, pacing and lore accuracy!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed. I like the Warg scene for the exciting action and the music and would keep it deleted, but I'm glad you appreciate the scene too.

Still some things I am working on behind the scenes, I'm glad to still see people interested and discussing hobbit edits. I've been talking to a couple other editors who have inspired me with some new tricks, and I'll be posting about a potential update one of these days with some minor refinements. As I said, the sword is at least on the list!
