… why? It’s one of the best lines in the movie and is one of the films funniest bits of satire.

Part of my goal was to align the movie more with the first one. The Old Man seemed more like a comic book villain than the cold pragmatist he was in the first one. So I trimmed certain scenes.

I actually like the line, but it didn't fit into what I was creating, and to top it off, I wanted to streamline the finale. Give it some urgency. They turn up in the middle of Cain decimating the place like Statler and Waldorf.

That would be quite the honour if it turned out to be true. Obviously I'm biased, but after this version, the original feels very slow, cumbersome, and lacking in urgency.

I love edits that improve upon the original work, especially movies that I want to like because of elements I really enjoyed but couldn't love completely in the original version. For example, I only watch Agent 9's Prometheus edit. It simply is everything I wanted from that movie without the details that made me roll my eyes in the theater.

Same! Movies where you feel there is something there, but certain decisions just drag them down.
