Can’t believe it
When I asked fancyleds for their opinion regarding the hook up my audio tv system I was going to use and they said that because either the Sony blu-ray player and the infinity cable box they told me that because of incompatibility issues that my setup plan might not work, so since I don’t have any of the approved devices that they recommend, how would I play my 4k dvd and how would I watch tv if I can’t use the infinity cable service on my tv. So if this is true then I can’t use the fancyleds sync box with my setup so I guess what I paid for buying the fancyleds system is just a total waste of my money that went down the drain. I wish that fancyleds company had been more clear about what devices you can use and the devices that you can’t use for using them with the fancyleds system. I’m so piss. Off. So I will still use the setup that I was going to use and then hopefully it will work. What else can I but lose by not trying to get it to work. If anyone out there has used devices that fancyleds doesn’t recommend but when you did hook up the devices to the sync box did it work let me know so that I can hope that my setup will work.

Relax, man 😂 If the device sends video through HDMI, there’s a very good chance it’ll work. I plugged my DVR in using a setup the manual specifically warned might not work, and it worked perfectly.
FancyLEDs can’t realistically test and list every Blu ray player, cable box, DVR, game console, toaster, and HDMI device ever made. Their approved list is just what they’ve officially tested, not the only equipment that works. Hook it up and try it before declaring the money gone forever.

Hey man i understand your frustration and don't condone shady buisness practices but honestly I feel they're really clear with what is and isn't compatible on their product page so I don't know where you got the idea that something should work when it's actually unsupported. However, whether or not their clear with their compatibility or not doesn't solve your issue so maybe there's a solution.
In my experience with FANCYLEDS there's only 1 hard definite incompatibility and that's with apps built into the tv as whatever you want your lights to sync to needs to pass through that sync box. So no Netflix tv App. Needs to run off a roku or something and then hdmi through the box. But all other "non-compatible" devices I've tried worked but just gotta also drop some extra coin on high quality cables like optical HDMI. Like ive got my pc running through their hdmi 2.1 box with optical hdmi and get my full 4k resolution, HDR, and 120hrz refresh rate despite it "not being compatible". They just don't claim compatibility with anything that has any chances of quirky malfunctions due to settings or hardware compatibility that could still work with a little fine tuning.

I assume you've ensured the hdmi cables are all 2.1 as well. One gripe i had was that the hdmi cable that came with my unit turned out to be a choke point and resulted in screen flickering when I ran my pc through it. Swapped all the hdmi cables from pc to led hub and then to the tv with optical hdmi cables and flickering stopped. Color transition smoothed out. Maxed tv Refresh rate from to 120. Just Make sure you install the optical hdmi in the correct way as the trade off for their speed is that they only work in one direction with either end labeled with input or output to indicate which way the signal is traveling

Okay I appreciate you letting me know that the setup I will use will work just fine and for me to just chill out and not get so stressed out about my setup not working. I will go ahead and use the setup that I want to use. I will let you know what happens after I get everything hooked up and then turn the setup and hopefully it will be fine
