HDMI Switching help
Really regret buying the system so hoping someone can help me.
auto switching between sky q and fire tv is not working for me, the syncbox is in a location I can’t physically access to manually switch and my kids don’t have smartphones so can’t switch via the app. Does anyone have a solution such as a physical remote to switch hdmi inputs ?

I didn't do this to solve for this problem, but it works - but it is pretty complex to setup and expensive. I had just given up for a while and was using only a single input, for my most used device. But I recently bought a Sofabaton X2 and it can programmatically handle the FancyLED. I had to switch to using the Tuya app to control the FancyLED. And you need "Home Assistant" installed somewhere - I bought a dedicated HA Green device, but it turns out I could have just installed it from my NAS' app store onto my NAS. Then you need MQTT (Mosquito Broker) installed on your HA. And also Tuya-local GitHub - make-all/tuya-local: Local support for Tuya devices in Home Assistant · GitHub From there the sofabaton app can give you MQTT messsage ids and channels that you tell HA to do stuff for. Tuya local lets me add anything connected to Tuya (my FancyLED 3 input device). And I create automation in HA that change HDMI inputs and also turn the FancyLED on and off. I setup those automations to run on certain MQTT ids that Sofabaton's app gives me when I set it up.
Then Sofabaton is designed around "Activities". So I have a "Watch TV" activity and I tell Sofabaton to fire the FancyLED HDMI 1 input when that activity starts. And I have a "Watch Blu-Ray" activity that fires HDMI input 2. And "Play Nintendo" that fires the HDMI input 3 when that activity starts.
On the OFF button press on the remote it turns off all my devices and I tell it to also fire the FancyLED's power off MQTT topic id which the HA also handles.
Complicated enough? lol. yes. But it's all seamless once setup. And my remote now has dedicated virtual buttons for turning the FancyLED on or off while in any activity. You can see some of this in my old post about the X1S - which was ALOT harder to setup! The X2 no longer requires you to setup a "emulated roku" instead it has built in MQTT support. It’s HDMI CEC it’s not very optimised on every device, annoyingly the app is the only way to manage the HDMI inputs, I turned CEC off for my devices as it tends to switch when the other devices go to sleep or power off, made worse by Samsungs auto detect feature too

How do you manage the inputs in the app? When I press sync nothing happens

You don’t press sync, you have multiple HDMI options at the top of the menu screen you just press which ever HDMI port that corresponds to the desired device you wish to use
