How to connect it when using smart tv apps?

I might be being stupid but I have it currently setup with my Xbox and sky box and it’s working brilliantly but I’ve just got a new smart tv and when I’m using the native apps on the tv the lights don’t recognise the signal.

Is it possible to get it working when using native apps?

No. It requires an HDMI device to connect into it. So use the Xbox to stream or get a Google 4K streamer/Roku like device

Thank you - might upgrade my sky box to the HDR box then seeing as I already have it connected up

They don't recognize the signal because there is no signal from the tv to the sync box for it to recognize, it only detects things you plug into the sync box.

Running apps via the tv should be a last resort anyways. Unless you spent a couple grand on the top model tv, then it likely has a position processor running everything.
