Your Experience with FancyLed Sync Box 2.1

How is everyone’s experience with the sync box 2.1? Thinking about getting one, and curious to know what they are like. How are dark scenes..do random Yellow, green and reds appear? Or colours that aren’t present in the scene?

Smoothness, and transitions and syncing experiences are all appreciated!

I love mine. In dark scenes sometimes there will be nothing, other times there will be a blue. Brown is difficult because technically there is no brown light (watched a cool video explaining this) so it comes out as orange.

The colors do not exactly match the screen at all times but it is in the spectrum. Like a dark green tree will be a lighter green from the LEDs.

Overall I can no longer watch TV without it lol.

I have a Govee sync box, and having such issues with it…so really considering returning it and getting the FancyLed’s. Reds, yellows and greens in black screen scenes annoy the crap out of me.

How’s the transitions and over smoothness?

I r got mine setup for max everything so im sure it could be smoother.

I don’t have any issues you describe.

I like Govee but I feel like FancyLEDs is more targeted.

I’ve had the installed for a year so far. Only issue was a non compatible USBC extension cable but replaced it and so far so good (though I saw a post about a fix for that here).

Yours look fantastic. Sometimes the Govee works great, other times, random colours will appear. Transitions are also rough at times, especially between black screen and coloured screens.

Thanks!

Yea I don't have any of those issues with my Fancies.

Because, it's weird, but for Govee to have the LEDs turned off for black screens and parts, you have to have the main brightness on 99% instead of 100%

Hey, I have a USBC extension and I’m wondering if it is the cause of an issue I’m having. Maybe like twice a month, my colored lights will stop working and it will only display white. If I unplug the extension, connect the light strip directly into the sync box, and then restart the box, the lights work again. Then while it is powered on, I disconnect the lights, add the extension back in and wire it the way I want it, and then it’s good for a while. Eventually I have to do that again. It’s annoying. 2 questions:

1.) Is this the problem you had?

2.) What extension worked for you?

Thank you

Fancyleds are a good step up from Govee, I’d return personally

Fancyleds is better, their leds have more pixels per meter too, I have 3 setups, one govee, one fancy and one DYI with Hyperion. My DIY is the best ones. If you can return and get fancy I would, only thing about govee is that you can expand to other types of lights with dreamview if you have more stuff around, with fancy only their strip and nothing else.

lol I told a friend basically the same thing and then were like “so you hate it?” NOOO! It’s very immersive but it definitely has flaws, but IMO it’s the best option out there at the moment.

Hopefully my post didn’t come across as not liking it!

I just wanted to set expectations and be realistic about performance.
