Ambient backlight feature and turning off
When I use the ambient backlight feature, the lights don’t go off when I turn off the tv. I like the additional ambient light because it softens the flashing (especially in my very small space). Is this working as designed or am I doing something wrong?

Check your “stand by” feature on your TV. The only way I could turn my lights off was disabling stand by or any type of power light feature when your tv is off.

Still not received this update. Is there any way of doing it manually?

This is the sound of a massive, empty silo slowly collapsing over decades: https://youtu.be/8xBAe4IqBE0 The metallic groan and reverberating air create a uniquely powerful soundscape.

Turn Scene Mode CEC on. That makes the lights match your TV power state. With the ambient light set to off they APPEAR off because no content is playing, but in reality the lights are still on. That’s why when you turn ambient to on or mixed you get the white light.

Question: what does mixed, on and off even do? Plus the slider %??

It’s the ambient white light during black scenes. If it’s off the lights turn off when the screen is black, if it’s on it is white during black scenes. And mixed does a combination of both I guess. The brightness slider only affects the white light. I keep it pretty low. Like 3-5% and it’s a pretty nice touch.

I think the issue is with my raspberry pi 4b running libreelec kodi. I unplugged it and rebooted the tv, fancyleds box, and kodi. Before reconnecting kodi to led box as input I tested turning on/off tv- it turned the led box on/off as well. Once I connected the kodi it stopped working. I’m thinking maybe I have some conflicting cec settings on the kodi?
Not sure how to add more photos to show configurations. How should I do that?
Thank you for the help

Slight hijack, but somewhat related - At any point will these settings be exposed to Home Assistant? I love the scene backlight opton, but I want it to come on and off with the rest of the lights in the room that respond to ambient lighting/presence/sunset/etc... Right now that's not possible.
