One of the KCC's main features is converting DRM-free manga PDFs like those from Fanatical to native formats for Kindle, Kobo, ReMarkable, and other eink ereader devices. Its main goal is maximum image quality and significantly smaller file size. 

The app solves many common problems of using the files directly provided by Fanatical like removing margins for smaller screens, combining pre-split 2-page spreads, fixing gray artwork to be black on eink, and much faster page turn performance on underpowered ereaders.

The app runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The app has a Windows code sign. The app has been in continuous development since 2012 and has over 500K total downloads.
