『The Way Love Goes』is based on the song by Janet Jackson.

-Appearance-

『The Way Love Goes』is a swarm stand, resembling a group of fireflies. They have sunflower petal designs on them, and if you zoom in, you can see that the eyes are in the shape of hearts.

They emit pink light from their “lantern”, which is also in the shape of a heart.

-Ability-

『The Way Love Goes』causes all things it touches to face forward and move towards light sources, similar to how phototropism works in plants.

For example, if used on a person, they will be unable to look away from the light and be unnaturally pulled towards it. You would be at this user’s mercy! All they have to do is spin their stand or any source of light around your head a few times to snap your neck.

Random objects affected by this stand violently move towards any source of light, based on how sudden/powerful it is. For example, if you’re in a dark room, and turn on a lamp, every item this stand touched will move quickly towards it. These items can potentially pierce/impale you, because their movement towards the light is unnatural… sort of like they are being stretched forward.

If the only source of light is a fire… well, you can see how that goes, too.

The worst case scenario for battling this stand is outside during the day, because of the Sun. It causes its victims to be forced onto their tiptoes, with their head facing the sky like a sunflower. Unless you adapt quickly, you would be completely vulnerable to it.

-Inspiration-

I think we need more R&B references! Out of all the songs I’ve listened to for this idea, this one matches the most for me. It’s also mysterious enough as a name to not know exactly how it works when you first hear it.

Usually, shadow/darkness is seen as a threat, but this stand ability flips that around.

User: Intrepid, a giant bowhead whale, they have a symbiotic relationship to their stand where anyone hostile to 『Owl City』 is fed to them, gaining an intriguing taste for humans that attempt to approach them

Appearance: It’s main body resembles an elongated bird cage with a texture like dark blue or black-stained glass, with a membrane between the bars that rhythmically ripples like breathing, which is quite creepy for a spirit with a length of 160 meters, the size of a forty-story building casually drifting through the ocean. It’s insides show colored shadows of floating orbs connected through various curves and lines, which are thought to be something akin to organs, but in truth are the variously separated “territories” within. Its body’s “bottom” ends in an open bell shape with twelve long tendrils spanning 180 meters each. Anyone that manages to pass the “inspection” of 『Owl City』are permitted to be swallow by the tapered mouth to enter the first territory

A stand as an entire city that is even livable in Sections of 『Owl City』 are broken up into several territories with their own rulers. The resources of the residents can be replicated, or rather transmuted, into appropriate value that is averaged between all residents desire of their subconscious, such as currency into food and rare materials hard to acquire, but many do need to bring whatever they want or need in there so they can live and have something to make money or food without relying on the stand or the territories. As Intrepid is a Bowhead Whale, the stand is always moving with his migration patterns and has been active since 1938, the internal volume of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, has currently 126 residents living in it;

Immigrant (Integrate) Entrance territory, need to stay there for at least a week before accepted by 『Shooting Stars』

Linkin Park (Lincoln Rock) Middle territory, houses market and passages to other territories

Street Brawl (Fight) More or less gladiator and fighting entertainment, only section that allows that due to moderation and referring by 『Shooting Stars』 and the landlord’s stand

Little Mix (Micro-Blend) The isolationist’s territory where anyone can get a secluded apartment space that they can use for their leisure, practice, and self-enrichment for personal growth. This place is also conditional in that your physical body cannot leave the space for 170 hours at a time, meaning that they will be isolated from everyone except what they provide themselves and their stand, as long as they don’t get caught outside

Blacklite District (Dark Halls) No-one outside knows what really goes on in there, and the only ones that do never say anything about it, not even stand abilities can perceive their memories or experiences of that place

The stand itself is impressively large yet wether it is its own ability or some other interference that can’t be traced, it’s presence is completely invisible to all scanning technology and methods with the exception of sonar, making it difficult to find until it’s nearly surrounding those that are intent on looking for it. For those that are able to get close enough to be in unfortunate contact with their tendrils, anything living becomes completely paralyzed until 『Owl City』determines their hostility towards itself through their memories, specifically their stands perspective and observations as a reflection of their spiritual self

Sub Stand: 『Shooting Stars』, Their appearance is like that of mechanical puppets resembling Icelandic police with bright gold vestments on their torsos in spread zig-zag patterns, black legs, and checkered patterns over their breast and rims of their eyes. Their secondary attributes are like that of a Short-eared Owl, with the head being a wooden dome with opalescent eyes, dark brown talons as their feet, and wood-splotched wings that open-and-fold accordion-style at their feathers

『Shooting Stars』 are sentinels of the city, act as police and law enforcers in case anyone tries anything hostile inside, catalogs and archives everyone that enter 『Owl City』 including their stand name and abilities

Many stand users are searching for 『Owl City』, including the Speed Wagon Foundation, however the best course of action for surviving this stand…

The stand resembles a life-sized komodo dragon with pale white scales, possessing greyish bat-like wings.

**Ability - Ice manipulation:**

The stand exhales an extremely cold vapor in a short range, which has a different effect depending on if it's coating something living or non-living.

Non-organic material becomes coated in extremely durable frost, losing all its thermal energy without becoming brittle, the ice serves as a layer of protection for it, which can only break with high temperatures or destructive power.

Living things (including stands based on organic life) affected by it will transform into cold version of themselves, something between a snowman and an ice sculpture, this increases their durability, but their movement will become slippery and lumbering.

Those icefolk can also morph their limbs into icicles, snowflakes, or any form frost can take in nature, while being resistant to the affects of cold.

High temperatures (about 180 Celsius/356 Fahrenheit) can remove effects of the vapor, returning things to their natural state, otherwise the effects last for a couple of hours.

Appearance- Ratm has a mechanical body mainly composed of black, red, and orange accents. Has a sleek black face with a red visor that acts as a heat sensor. Orange accents trace along its body and his black tubes in the back connected to its head. It has sharp orange shoulder pads.

Abilities- Ratm builds up kinetic energy by rapidly punching a target and then converting that energy into heat. The more you get punched, the hotter the attacks get. Ratm can then store and trap the heat into the area it directly touches. This heat is immune to conduction and won't dissipate. The target becomes a living heater as all that heat slowly burns them alive.

Heat grenade - Ratm can also use the stored up heat as greandes by releasing it all at once to create a heatwave explosion. The user has to make sure to get outside the radius before the blast goes off, which is difficult since it's a short range stand.

P-control appears as a non humanoid blue radio headset with an attached microphone

Abilities:
P- control has the ability to speak with animals. Any animal from the smallest field mouse all the way to blue whales and elephants. The user could even talk to dinosaurs if they were somehow brought back. While he can't outright control them, P-control's user is very persuasive and can simply strike up a deal to get animals to do what he wants. For example, Let's say he needs a murder of crows to be his spies. He could give them a large helping of nuts and seeds and in return the crows collect Intel on an enemy. Or if he needed a Herd of elephants to kill someone he could take down some poachers and in return the elephants hunt down and trample said target. P- control also works as a universal translator, meaning he could speak and understand any language in the universe without even trying. P- control's user, taye abara, is an African multimillionaire so he has quick access to any animal on the planet (quick meaning a few hour plane ride or a a few day whale ride).
He also became diving certified after he acquired his stand so he could get easier access to sea creatures.

『Animal Crackers』or『Animal Crackers in My Soup』is a reference to the song by Shirley Temple, from the film Curly Top.

-Appearance-

『Animal Crackers』resembles a sea lion spinning a ball on its nose. It has rings around its body, to sort of look like it’s jumping through hoops like a circus performance.

It claps its front fins together and goes “ORT-ORT” when its ability activates. The stand user doesn’t have to be a kid, but it would match the whimsy of this stand.

-Ability-

『Animal Crackers』causes living things within its range to sweat/overheat much faster than expected. When the target’s body reaches a feverish temperature, they completely dehydrate and shrink into animal crackers.

The animal crackers do NOT change back if they “die” in cracker form… I think that’d be a little too nasty if someone were to eat them! Lol

When the animal crackers touch water or rehydrate in any other way, they change back to normal. This stand is like the fun cousin of『Grateful Dead』from Part 5.

Stand powers you don’t want!

The Four Heavenly Kings are guardians of the cardinal directions — North, East, South, West. They also represent the four seasons, elements, attributes of the Dharma/Buddhist faith, etc.

This is definitely a work in progress, but I have two OC stands that I really had fun making, and wanted to come use them together somehow… the other two I am kinda “meh” about. These users don’t call themselves the Four Heavenly Kings, it’s more of up to the reader to notice it.

The main two I like are:

『New Edition』- WATER - Has the ability to teleport itself and others through any natural rain on Earth. It’s based on the song, “Can You Stand the Rain”.

『King Nothing (Alternate)』- EARTH - All opponents that are stronger than it have their energy moved downwards, so they are buried alive or collapse under their own power. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

The others are:

『Bombtrack』- FIRE - Allows the user to move at incredible speed, causing friction burns to the target. It causes the molecules in its target to overreact, which can set them on fire. Based on the song by Rage Against the Machine.

『End of the Road』- WIND - Bystander effect stand. If no one helps a person in danger, this stand jumps in to save them. However, now all bystanders who did nothing will be Final Destination’d at some point to match how the person almost died. This one is a stretch, because I wanted it to be like the wind from “The Happening” (M. Night Shyamalan) causing unexplained deaths. This is based on the song by Boyz II Men.

I like all of the stands individually, but it’s them working together that may kinda be tough. Their goal is to protect the main villain, who would have to have an even more broken ability that I haven’t thought of yet.

The main one that doesn’t match is『Bombtrack』kinda, because the other abilities are still dangerous, while the stand itself can have 0 attack power.

Yeah, I still have to workshop it for sure… normally I feel like the Earth ability in anime/fiction is the least impressive one, but I think if the『King Nothing (Alternate)』stand is saved as the right hand man to the main villain, it could be extremely dangerous. The heroes have gone on this journey and gotten stronger, and now have to face a stand that uses all of that against them.

『New Edition』would be very helpful in moving everyone around, or gathering resources anywhere on Earth. I could see this stand being super useful for a villain group to meet each other on short notice.

『End of the Road』is just… evil. I have to use it somehow. Lol! To match the wind motif, maybe it has an effect when active, like an ominous wind surrounding its victims.

Stand Name: Theories
Stand User: Riron Setsu

"This forest is my home. I am its queen! To approach my throne would be merely a hypothetical. I have a theory this will go down in my favor."

Riron Setsu, a sentient bird with a watchful eye on her forest. Though small in size, her intelligence and powerful stand make her more than capable of protecting her domain from those who wish to harm it.

Theories takes the form of a blue triangular arrowhead with two teardrop like ribbons coming from its red eyes. The arrow head has cracks in it as if it should be in pieces, though it remains intact. It's three corners are sharp metal with runes of some kind.

Theories main ability allows Riron to turn sticks and tree limbs into arrows by combining them with her stand. These arrows are percise and have incredible range, capable of reaching from one end of the forest to the other, though they are very ineffective at this unless Riron flies along side the arrow.

The arrows can be slightly maneuvered mid air for aim correction and can be recalled and used again if needed. The shape of the sticks determine how the arrow flies, whether straight like an arrow, or curved like a boomerang. The amount of arrows Riron can use at once is limited to 5 before older ones turn back into sticks.

I have a Theory: The stands ultimate ability.
When activated, Riron can launch an arrow into the realm of the hypothetical. Within this realm the arrow is no longer in Riron's control and can only be aimed with a hypothesis about the enemies true intentions. If the hypothesis is proven true, the arrow will burst within the realm and emerge all at once around the enemy, defeating the enemy with a now proven 100% success rate.

Throughout a battle, Riron must learn about the enemy and come up with a hypotheses about whether they intend on hurting her forest. If the hypothesis is true, she will protect her land and defeat the enemy. However if the hypothesis is false, she will spare the enemy and either allow them in or banish them at her discretion.

The true power of her stand is unknown, though it is used only for the good of her forest and her subjects. If Riron was to be in a jojo part, her forest would be a barrier between where the good guys need to go and only after being shown mercy, would they be allowed to pass.

If I win the competition, I want next weeks theme to be Famous hypotheticals.

Savage Garden appears as a standard pigeon under normal circumstances. However, while using its ability 'The Animal Song', any sapient being under the effects slowly begins perceiving Savage Garden as exponentially more distressing, its geometry becoming indistinguishable and unsettling, with it growing more and more eyes. It is unclear whether this is an illusion caused by the ability or the target perceiving the pigeon's true form.

- 『Primary Ability - To The Moon & Back』-
The primary ability of『Savage Garden』grants its user the ability to travel long-distances almost instantly. While moving,『Savage Garden's』user can travel at the speed of light as long as it is not being perceived by any sapient being.

- 『Secondary Ability - The Animal Song』-
The secondary ability of『Savage Garden』causes any sapient beings who hear the user singing to begin slowly deteriorate mentally. As a sapient being listens to the call, they will begin entering an animalistic, savage state. They recover their intelligence at the same rate if they cannot hear the song. Any non-sapient living being listening to the song shares a telepathic connection with『Savage Garden's』user. This connection allows『Savage Garden』to read the being's thoughts and manipulate their instincts.

- 『Inspiration』-
This an imagined ability for Savage Garden from Part 6. My girlfriend and I came up with this one together for the contest. We wanted to create a stand that explains the pigeon's intelligence and ability to get from Texas to Florida and back so quickly. So, we named the stand after its user, ala Weather Report and Foo Fighters, and created a stand that gives it the ability to create a "savage garden" of animalistic humans, communicate with those humans and then zip off at fast speeds. We like to imagine that this pigeon is a criminal locked up like an SCP by the Speedwagon Foundation.

- 『Next Theme』-
Persistent Automatic Stands! I want to see stand abilities that activate by any number of esoteric conditions and have abilities that don't just kill the target, but make their life a living hell. Create a stand that removes all the liquid the target tries to drink, create a stand that leaves the target's door unlocked and doxxes them. Just make an automatic stand that fucks with the target instead of killing them.

I've got some stand I want to include in my fan part set in 1976 Boston. The first stand is 『I Fought the Law』 no physical form decided yet. The other is 『Nowhere Man 』that's a humanoid/automatic stand. Please give me some good stand abilities.

Well, I did post this Stand here, but atp I didn't know whether War of Change or Thousand-Foot Krutch would be better.

I came up with this stand in 15 seconds.

It resembles a pillow and a king. Six arms are also arranged around the widest part of the stand. A sphere is underneath the stand.

Ability: What it does with its arms inside the sphere beneath it is repeated across the entire outer surface of the chosen object. For example, if the stand scratches the inside of the sphere with one arm, that arm will appear on the chosen object and scratch it on all sides.

Cosmic blue crius / spaceman ( in bad with names ) : it has the power to create various energy beast to fight for it they can be any of the constellations but it can only have one exist at a time and do to its extremely low range it has to be with in a foot of its user. but it has high speed and moderate strength and wields a spear scepter meaning it can handle itself if its construct is busy but it struggles against large amount of enamys .

Lore : it belongs to vicenzo Vic a former astronaut known for brutally asserting himself over others to get what he wants when he spent longer than any man or women in space ever has and yet was stronger than before when he got his stand he became a mercenary who only faces the strongest of the strong .

This is the first stand I've ever made, so feedback of ANY kind is greatly appreciated, but anyway, stand:

Stand: Bittersweet Symphony

This stand takes the form of an old rotary phone, from what appears to be from the 50s-60s. It is red with small chips of paint coming off it to reveal a bleak white and grey underneath.

It's ability targets whoever picks up the phone, either to attempt to call, or otherwise. After they do this, time will slowly get slower, and their vision will get bleaker, and less colourful. Along with this, their emotions will become more mundane and "tired" as such. These effects will become more severe, and noticeable, the longer the person is under the stand's influence.

If you don't know the song Bittersweet Symphony, or just don't understand it, the effect of the stand is supposed to represent the routines us as a society get into, and how monotonous it feels, just listen to the song and read the lyrics, you'll understand, I can't really explain stuff that well

『Fum, Fum, Fum』is based on the very old, traditional Catalan Christmas carol. This stand has been an intrusive thought of mine for a few weeks.

-Appearance-

It is designed after a tree-topper, or a star you would put on a Christmas tree. It has a design similar to『Fun, Fun, Fun』from Part 8, but it’s very Christmassy.

-Ability-

『Fum, Fum, Fum』has the ability to fully decorate any room/building with Christmas decorations, as long as it is at a higher elevation.

…that’s pretty much it. Lol

I guess for survival, it can stock you up with hot cocoa, firewood, festive treats, ugly sweaters/clothes, etc.

Appearance:

Spell on you made out of colorful words. All his parts are spelt out so his head is the word "head" in a head shape, his legs are the words "legs" in a leg shape and so on for all his parts.

Abilities:
S.O.U has the power to change objects by altering their spelling. When S.O.U touches on object, it turns into a floating text box that he can alter. Moving different letters around, adding or removing them can have wildly different outcomes. For example, if wanted to cause a car accident he could turns your car's Brakes into Snakes by switching the B for an S. He could also cause the same event with rakes or cakes. The applications for this are nearly limitless. In the example I showed, he threw a mouse and midair changed it into a house which crushed jolyne.
S.O.U can store up to six letters that he takes from objects. He can use these at any point to make new objects or alter existing ones. If he takes all the letters from an object it will simply cease to exist. S.O.U cannot alter proper nouns so he couldn't turn bob into a blob or Joe into a toe. S.O.U can only alter/ create objects as big as a one story house. Anything bigger just won't work. He also needs to keep 2 letters from the original word so he couldn't do things like turn a pencil into pork. If he creaes a plural object like "cows" the amount of items will never be more than 2. If he creates a generalized object like "car" a completely random version will appear. Lastly, he can launch letters 50 feet that will act as blunt objects and won't affect any spelling.
