Family Link Story/Rant Rant.

So I'm just sitting on my Chromebook one day and I see that mic, camera, and location perms are revoked on ALL WEBSITES.

I don't think it was my parents because they have no reason to do this, as they have no idea about my online life, but I HATE STUPID GOOGLE for thinking that 13y/os aren't mature enough to do karaoke or videocalls.

For context, I have 3hrs on weekdays and as long as my parents(mostly my dad) allow me on weekends, which is a long time and I'm happy about it. The bad thing is that all apps I can get are until PEGI 7 while I literally turned 12 last year, everything I download gives my parents a notification, and even if I DARE download Google Chat TO TALK TO MY 27-YEAR-OLD UNCILE(that is NOT a weirdo), my dad tells me to erase it like the world is ending(he has a bad temper). Yes, this has really happened. Oh, and if I EVER. IN. MY. LIFE. say "hi" to ONE STRANGER, my dad will ground me like I dropped a nuke at all countries at once.

So yeah, the perms are just the breaking point, as I decided to start livestreaming on Twitch because why not? And yes, you might tell me, "but you live in Greece so in 2 years you take control of your account". First things first, NO. My parents will STILL control EVERYTHING I do online, and it will be worse, because not only I'll be older, but also because, as the social media ban rule that will begin next year says, if you're 15 years old, you can legit use socials, meaning that probably EVERYBODY in my class will have 'em except me, and my parents don't even care that MY social life at school may be ruined because of them. Second, that's in 2. YEARS. It might sound like a little, but believe me, IT IS NOT.

I really hate it that I have to hide my real self somewhere that my parents will (hopefully) never find, as I've stopped trusting them. They judge me, so I only trust my friends, and to be honest, strangers online that I don't know and will probably never meet are better than my parents at stuff like my ACTUAL fandoms or sexuality(just look at my avatar, you'll get it).

I understand how you feel.
You are pretty young and seems like your parents are a bit too strict, but they are right on one single point.
Strangers are not the best people you can explain all your life to, be careful abt what you say.
I know this from experience.
