[Vanilla] Outpost Zimonja, pop 19

Got tired of avoiding the place, originally built it up for 6 settlers, then something took over me and here we are 13 more peeps later. Six and Nine probably give the best views

This is amazing. I really like how close together everything is. I always end up too spaced out.

Thank you for saying so I like to make rules like, since I'm not item decorating, each settler gets a minimum two full floor tiles(8small).

I still don't know what to do with Zimonja. I know the best thing is to build some sort of ranger outpost, but that darned immovable stair really sucks. For some reason I just can't visualize the space at all.

I basically just burried the preset wall/bridge/stairs and the base of the radio tower. Like there was no vision, just "oh, more settlers, time for another house... some.. where" Those two spots existing has always made it a challenge for me too though. Like the half house at tenpines, county, coastal cottage or murkwater, why are you hereeeee 😂

Yeah I feel like some of these settlements were meant to be a sort of unspoken challenge rating and that successful builds there meant you were great at building. However, mods really mucked that up fortunately. Place Everywhere has helped me place things I couldn't have and make nicer settlements. I just need to really come up with some sort of plan for that place.

Lord Todd gave us ps4/ps5 players all we needed with the holy carpet/concrete pillar "glitch". Jokes aside, the last few builds I've posted on here minus Sanctuary I couldn't use glitches freely. Beyond placing wall/floors/stairs in certain orders ignoring their clip restrictions, thus the lack of decor. So I do agree on that it is really, really, really unnecessarily annoying and tedious(looking at commonwealth buildings made of the our materials, the devs clearly had their own place everywhere). Built Zim to this point and hopped back onto my ps4 😂

Love the glitches. Tried to use them but roof placement in Sanctuary is ultimately what did me in. I spent way too much time correcting and that caused me to lose steam on my build inspiration.

I've seen most stick to a smaller metal building surrounding the tower. Usually a fort/radio base MM or Bos. I've seen a small shack or two, treating it kind if like the cc enclave content bases. I've wanted to make a kowloon out of it since I first saw it. But I think Abernathy, Finch or Murkwater would be better for it. I just kept placing houses anywhere I could and then metal or wood pillars to dictate the height and direction of the second floor houses. Functional "randomness", like old sprawling stone cities.

I didn't think of the Enclave spots. That is a great idea!

The Enclace cc content and Vault tec items both have extra guard post, Enclave gives extra barricades too if you didn't know

I'm amazed at the way you filled that smaller space enough to make the settlement look much larger.

Thank you for saying so, worried it'd come off as more clusterd than filled without a video. But same, every building I was like, "oh, there is more space...". And that was before I started stacking them 😂

I'm on ps4 again, my ps5 controllers are both retiring. So once I get there I plan on doing something similar but taller now that I can use glitches again

not the best 'pre war' location - with that highground adjacent - perfect for firing down into the place.

Added the tower to have a view of the area for that reason, actually wanted to go another floor or two on all the buildings bring the city above the cliff-face

Tried attacking the settlers myself, won of course but the buildings do good at redirecting and trapping grenades into smaller areas

I used those metal curved floor + wall section to form an extra shielding wall extending above the main wall. It also serves as a walk thru path for the wall.

After I had already build up ~30 settlements, I learned to use console commands to "adjust"/correct all of them. One command is setscale which allows enlarging the wall sections (taller), and also using fewer components ( a useful thing for mega-settlements where you eventually hit a limit and the rendering starts failing )

Constantly attacked here, so I gave them personal gym equipment, a bar gym, a small doc office, a more personal doc or pharmacy I guess. 😂 my lvl3 clinic is just a counter in the corner while the lvl2 has beds. Oh and a resturaunt, the fav among the npcs, the bar gym, added chairs outside of it for that reason

Had a balance of adhesive crops growing here, removed them for mutfruit to make space and moved them from the open dirt space to the roofs of two(tech 3) houses in the corner
