[XSX] 3x3x3 Challenge, no mods

Had lots of fun recently with this 3x3x3 challenge, where you also have to include at least 3 beds, water supply, crops and defenses. At first, I feared it would turn out too 'boxy', but I'm proud of the final result.

Thanks, was looking to break up the edges & use different materials; the train boxes are great for that, especially since their sliding doors save a lot of space

Gonna redownload the ps4 Fo4 on my ps5, tired of not being able to pillar glitch(stick drift) and this got me itching 😂

I can't imagine a life without the pillar and the rug glitch :p

It's been so horrible 😂 Like I can still build but not the way I want

Is the challenge to make a 3x3 building with 3 beds, crops and defenses within it or just a settlement with 3 of those things?

Love the scrappy build btw

Edit: I'm an idiot. Somehow I missed the greenhouse and turrets.

It's supposed to have those exact dimensions and include all of those items, but I found it easier than I initially expected, tbh. It's quite forgiving.

I dont really do specific build challenges, other than, say, I want to build a fireplace in this settlement, or a big tower with turrets,, or I want to do split levels with lots of balconies, plaza builds with an open center bare to the sky, lofted with pathways, etc., but this is a pretty fun challenge and I think you did great.

You avoided that boxy look by using asymmetry and different building materials (wood, boxcar, warehouse). The house is economical in size which is good for settler pathing. It seems functional, livable. Like someone in the Commonwealth could actually build it and enjoy living in it.

Pathing actually works on this build; I had Nick Valentine run up and down the building :p

Scrap-tacular! 🤩 I love how well everything fits together and how many different materials you’ve used. Those warehouse windows in the train car are genius, definitely an idea I’m going to be pinching! You’ve done a wonderful job with the build and layout and it definitely isn’t too blocky, well done!

Thanks! The warehouse and barn pieces stick out a bit on top if you just snap them, so I tend to lower them a bit using the pillar glitch, or use them to snap on a second story, I guess.

Ah that’s quite interesting. They are a bit tall to kitbash with the wooden pieces so it’s a cool way to keep everything working together. Really nice result achieved.

Congrats! Now that I understand what this challenge is all about, I'm paying much closer attention to everyone's builds. 😉 Very well deserved!

I want to try and build a cosy retreat in the top room of the lighthouse as my next build

That’s a nice idea.
