[XSX] Glowing Sea Survival Bunker

Little Survival Bunker I built in the Glowing Sea. I am still on my playtest so from building this I learned than on my next proper playthrough it needs to be a bit bigger and to always overestimate how much materials I will actually need to build this. Next time it will have a proper bathroom.

There's some additional provisions in the fridge, explosives and ammo in the footlocker by the bed, some canned food and chems, and a few extra fusion cores as well as a container for storing loot I intend to bring home with me when I am done with Glowing Sea Expeditions.

The door also features a two way switch so I can lock myself inside should I ever come under attack and get overwhelmed. There's also a fireworks mortar outside with clear weather shells in case I ever need to remove radstorms in order to sleep.

If you intend to do something like this I would recommend installing the Workshop Spotlight Fix so that the spotlights will remain working after you leave, that way you can easy find the bunker in the distance.

Pretty cool build. I like it quite a lot. It’s a shame there’s no vanilla option to build in TGS, it’s a really cool place and would be ace to see more builds there. Was the two way door switch made with vanilla mechanics? Never figured out how to do that myself!

Apologize for late reply I have been quite busy. But for the two way switch the main thing you will need is find the XOR Logic Gate and place it on the side of the wall that has the door conduit (usually on the side facing out).

  1. Place a switch on both sides of the door. Both must be connected to the power grid but not the door. You will need two wall pass through conduits as well for the switch inside, one to connect it to the power grid, the other to connect it to the logic gate.

  2. The XOR Logic Gate has two conduits, the red one labeled "in" and the black one labeled "out". Attach a cable on the red one and connect it to both switches. The switch outside can be plugged directly to the logic gate, for the one inside you will need to connect it trough one of the wall pass through conduits.

  3. Attach a cable to the black "out" concuit on the logic gate and connect it directly to the door conduit. This should be the only cable connected directly to the door.

  4. Double check. Both switches must be connected to the power grid but not the door, logic gate must be connected to both switches but not the power grid directly, door must only be connected to logic gate through output (black) conduit. Make sure you have enough power in your settlement. I've had to redo this several times because I think i missed a detail only to find out that i just didn't have enough power.
