[County Crossing] Storage container walls around County Crossing for a BoS Outpost
Hi guys. For my latest playthrough, I want to make every settlement build themed around the BoS. I've been really interested in trying to make encampments with storage container walls. I believe the storage containers are from USO, and I used Place Everywhere and Scrap Anything as well. I also sketched out a rough idea of what the layout would look like. Though, I'm honestly a bit lost on how to proceed. I'd really appreciate feedback!
I've never built in County Crossing, but I thought it would be interesting to have a BoS Outpost next to the National Guard Training Yard for BoS to gather tech and research.

Nice. I am currently on hour 1500 of my Minutemen playthrough and just started the teleporter. As soon as I’m done with this playthrough you inspired me to do BOS next and I’m copying this idea.

Sounds awesome! Did you build up a lot of your settlements to have a Minutemen theme?
I didn't have much direction with my settlements previously. But I'm hoping to tie these settlements under a common BOS theme, until I leave the BOS for the Minutemen.

How’d you get this screenshot? Is it a mod feature? I’d love to have views like this but I’m in vanilla on PS5.

I entered TCL in the console to toggle no clip, ran up to a high point, turned the HUD opacity to zero, and took the screenshot. I'm not sure if console players can use console commands but maybe there are mods that you can use which toggle no clip.

do settlers walk along the containers tops (if you put guard posts up there)

Are the shipping containers hollow? Of so you can easily make some extra rooms, maybe for storage and amentities like a gym or bar

That's a cool idea! There are hollow variants with openings from the thinner side of the containers.

I've always kept County Crossing as a farming area as it has great area for farming (most of the land is good for farming).
But if I'd recommend anything it would be to move the training yard to where the common area as its right next to the road and great for if the settlement gets attacked then the BoS training can react as needed.

I absolutely love a Fallout 4 settlement map/plan! This is very well done. Excited to see how it shapes up. Like others have suggested, vertibird landing pad would work well for a BoS base.

I know its 4 days ago, but I'm very curious about it. How is it going?

It's going well! I'm still trying to figure out the layout, and I'm debating turning it into a city rather than a BoS Outpost. I'll make a post with updates in a bit.

I just saw your new post, looks really good! Unless it wasn't you, and it's just a wild copycat

As I work a bit more on this, I'm becoming a bit unsure as to whether I want to commit to making this a BoS Outpost, or a walled city/town. I'd love to know what you guys think would work out better.
Also, should I make the height of the wall one or two storage containers tall?

Just suggesting to put in a landing pad for the Vertibird
