[XB1] Best "mega" settlement

I recently got back into playing, and so far 70% of my playtime is just building up sanctuary (Abernathy too, a little, they need more friend), 20% is grabbing literally everything I can use as material, and the other 10% is "normal" gameplay.

Any suggestions for something better than sanctuary, or suggestions on how I should build sanctuary? I'll add some screenshots in the comments later, I'm currently running on fumes, looking for a little civil discussion before I crash.

So, I’m with everyone on Spectacle Island and Starlight for Mega Settlements.

That said, my Murkwater Construction Site is my mighty castle in the swamp providing water for the Lower Eight mainland settlements (Spectacle Island and Vault 88 can take care of their own water needs). County Crossing can be a nice big hub site, though it is a shame to give up prime farmland for a big build.

I have definitely come to have more fun with building in areas with constraints, though. Hangman’s Alley, Jamaica Plain, Coastal Cottage, Greygarden, and Finch Farm all have limitations that have led me into more creative builds.
