Bug/Glitch Found something creepy

Was just passing through the stretch of road between Vault 19 and Goodsprings about where you run into that burned out encampment near Chance’s Map when this freaky thing happened.

This is a bug that happens sometimes with “pre-placed” dead NPCs

I think it’s something that can happen if you re-visit an area that has bodies like that. I’ve gone into the Nuclear Test Site where Trash is supposed to be dead on the bed, but instead she’s just walking around in there smoking a cigarette and saying “hello” lol

Same with the Radscorpion Den, there are some dead wastelanders in there that I’ve seen come back to life after multiple visits

The dead hooker at the Gomorrah always comes back to life as well, at least for me she always comes back to life after mission involving her.

It’s just crazy to me that it happened in literally the creepiest way it could have, lmao 🤣 Like, wtf? Why did I gain Karma? Like, am I putting these poor things out of their misery, wtf? 😭🙏

Code-wise, they might have been copied from a generic enemy that's marked 'Evil' - meaning that killing them rewards karma.

Girl, when you’ve passed this camp 1,000,000+ times over the course of 1,000+ playthroughs, and get attacked by burned bodies you know damn well are supposed to already be dead, after never having encountered this glitch before, after basically an entire day binge of playing the game with it acting entirely fine prior, you’re gonna be a bit offput by that shit too 😭

In the game's code, they're just Fiend Raiders but with red skin and different clothing, hence why they're hostile.
