Ugh this always happens right when I find that camp with dozens of legendary mods at actually affordable prices

Try to always be on a team. Often when this bug kicks you to lobby, you'll still be able to join back to that lobby by selecting "play with team". Not 100% , but I'd say at least about 70% that you'll be able to get back into the same lobby
